Shave of the week: 15 March through 21 March 2020

 

Back on track for S of the W (I think) so here's what is up for next week:

Hybrid razor = EJ head/Scotch & Stowe handle

Viking "Citron" SS
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe & Viking "Citron" balm
Assorted A/S

I like all the individual parts and hope they all like each other. We'll soon find out.

 

My shave for this week: 22 March through 28 March 2020

Soap: RazoRock Don Marco
Brush: Semogue 620 boar
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (1 - 7)
Aftershave: RazoRock Don Marco

 

Had a rough weekend in the hospital, found out I have an ulcer on my colon. Not sure if it's cancer or not, waiting for biopsy. Regardless, going to have to have surgery and that sucks.

But my Shave of the Week will be:

Gillette New razor (short comb)
Astra SP blade
JR #85 brush
Zangari Man "The Wanderer" Shave Soap
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Assorted A/S

The Zangari Man is new so I chose other tried and tested items to eliminate any problems. Looking forward to this. The scent of the SS is marvelous and I'll keep ya'll posted.

 

Man, you're being asked to carry some serious weight. All the best with the outcome(s).

 

Yeah, things are a little rough right now. Fortunately I have my 4 children very close by and they are all wanting to help in any manner needed. Blessed that way.

Sorry to hear that. I had pretty much the same problem about 18 years ago. I'll be praying for you.

 

Here's praying I get another number of years. Got a great-granddaughter I want to see graduate from college. That's at least 20 years from now

 

I didn't even have kids when I went through it. I have 4 now.

ALL STOP!!!

Just received the TAR razor pair in the pass around going on now. So I will stop my SotW and start using these 2 razors tomorrow.

 

Mostly satisfying, BBS shaves with this gear. It seemed like the blade was beginning to fail on Thursday's shave so I replaced it for Friday & today. I'd not had that happen in years with those blades as I change out blades every Saturday and am good to go for the week. Finished up the week with 2 nice shaves.

The RR Don Marco soap and AS splash have a delightful scent that is long lasting. As with all RR soaps, the performance is top notch.

I haven't picked next week's line-up yet but will post tomorrow morning.

 

SotW (29 March thru 05 April 2020)

Figured that while under "House Arrest" I'd use my strongest scented soap and aftershave splash this week.

Deeeelightful! Two pass, minor touch-up, BBS shave this AM.

Blade: Personna red (1-7)
Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve
