    Klar Kabinett~~Mondial 26mm~~1947 Gillette Super-Speed~~Sharp Star~~DRH Pink
Couldn't get my picture the way I wanted, so I cheated and made it in B&W.
Yesterday, there was a BST for MdC Rose. I saw it very early in the morning and could have had it.
Then, I came to my senses. I have 1kg of Klar Kabinett and a mostly-full tub of Eufros Rosa Bourbon.
I am set with rose for the foreseeable future.
With a clear mind, I set forth on this shave.
The boar was soaked thoroughly and I did put a few drops of H2O on the puck.
For those unfamiliar with KK, it is EXTREMELY hard soap.
I built the lather on the puck and went to the face.
Terribly under-hydrated at first, I proceeded to add more and more water to the
brush, until I had a very shiny and dense lather.
Scents are subjective, I know, but the pure rose scent of the KK is probably my favorite.
Manuel's Rosa Bourbon is very similar and, I believe, still available.
The Sharp Star inserted in my '47 SS really was wonderful.
Angle is easy to find and maintain. The blade is sharp and smooth.
I got a tad bit adventurous and went for the ATG just below my chin and
was rewarded with a small patch of irritation. :angry019:
Shrugged it off and did an ice-cold rinse.
    Surprisingly good post-shave feel.
Completed the shave with the simple, yet effective, DRH Pink.

Thank you Joseph. The interesting thing is how I'll do with cake soaps(like the Burma Shave, and samples(like the Phoenix that just came my way via PIF. Forgot the name of that one). It's about time I saw some serious suds in those, like the cover of the Williams box, where suds appear to overflow the mug.

Thank you Tim. Just the other day I was explaining that I thought I was headed for a shave of the Super Duper persuasion(but the cut changed things). Today no cut(as previously mentioned). I don't know whether or not to give "Super Duper" the absolute highest, or go a step higher.

That's why I feel silly with these surveys....course I love commenting on them, but in part I'm commenting on my own vote!(chuk yuk yuk).

Well, you may not like that pic, Joseph, but I think it is stunning. Sounds like a good call not going over the 2kg of Rose threshold...:)

Thank you, Clint. I must admit, this handle is one of my faves. The knot? TBD.

Thanks, Jim. I’m a ‘colour matcher in training’. No chance of reaching your lofty status...:happy088:

Well, Out of those 3, I’d vote for the ‘Couldn’t feel the blade’... it is close, though, with the Unicorn.

Love that combo, Clint. Those Heritage brushes are very cool. The razor is back to being dialed in.

Sounds like you’ve narrowed down your fave plates with that razor, Jim. Awesome. A great looking pic as well, of course.

So after my question about blades, I am going to do a blade investigation... I'm going to be putting blades through their paces in my Fatip Grande.

I won't be including blades that I have used in this razor before. So no Astra SP, Feather or Gillette 7 o'clock yellow.

Here are the first few (I will add Voskhod, Rapira Super Steel and Lada to the pile when they arrive):

Awesome report and photo--B&W isn't cheating, btw; I've yet to come up with a B&W photo that that I was satisfied with. There's always something... off. You, on the other hand, nailed it. A very classy photo for a very classy shave :D
