    You are too kind, Tim.

I have the .84 Jaws. It's a nice shaving razor. I have several of the Italian Barber razors. I should pick a time to do a focus with them.

How do you like those Pro Guards, Blair? Do you find the need for multiple passes over the same area?

Terry, you have a very eclectic collection. This one is very unusual.

:signs002: Well, since everyone's nose is different, it's hard for me to claim that the Klar isn't a typical feminine rose scent. It is, however, a very straight-forward rose. Not sweet.

It'll only be every other day. My skin doesn't cope well with daily shaves!

BTW: Sharp Stars are unobtanium. They want £5 for 5. Pass.

From those two, I'll take "over-the-top" but this is an ongoing investigation.

Thank you Tim! I'm not the most experienced with Oud fragrance. I have Art of Shaving cream 'Oud', and then Wholly Kaw's soap 'King of Oud' (similar consistency to PAA or Stirling). They are very different in that the Art of Shaving formula is much more mainstream fragrance, a sophisticated slightly perfumey woodsy blend you'd expect. The Wholly Kaw version is wood through and through, no sweet, no tobacco, maybe a hint of leather. I'd suggest Oud samples. Wifey picked the AoS version when we visited their store in Dallas, the Wholly Kaw was part of a lot purchase (like it well enough, but won't replace it).

    Thank You Clint!

Thank You Jason! The plumbing replacements, basically all the bath/shower fixtures (drain, blending valves, spout, shower stub & head) done. House re-pressurized and no leaks (knock on wood!) for an hour now. Sealing it all up soon after a couple hours of watching for residual moisture.

I really like the Pro Guards for a shavette, they are plenty sharp. The Pro Guard blades do seem to allow me some leeway for set down angle/pressure mistakes. Don't notice that extra passes are needed (caveat below).

FWIW, my nemesis is usually the lower right neck/jawline. That area usually requires extra attention (passes) with most razors/blade combos to get to DFS+/BBS. Requires extra skin stretching, buffing, XTG/ATG, or whatever else I throw at it. About the only razor that I can count on for a true 2 pass DFS+ all over (even in that trouble area), is my Rex Ambassador, and a couple of my straights/kamis (when they are smooth & sharp enough).

Lastly, I don't use the Pro Guard blades in my safety style handles (Blackland Vector, O.R.E.N. Nano, for example).

    Scary???
    Naaaa!!!
It's mild and easy, even with a New Feather Blade.
    Thanks Tim!!

I seen it and had to have it.
    Well....
    Thanks James!

    Thanks Clint!
Been a while since I used it, not a brush Hog, but still a good shave.

Had to look that one up Joseph!
Eclectic, I've been told that I do a lot of things that are uh, different.
But eclectic hasn't been one of them, until today
    Thanks!
one mans junk, is another mans treasure...

I get board sometimes with the same old thing, so I dust off an old tool to change it up a little.
I got a few more that make shaving more interesting, not that open blades wont.
I can still get a quick shave with most all of the safety razors I have, so not big amount time needed there.

Spare time here is a little sparse, you would think I'd have more time.
But that is not the way it is turning out.

    stay safe!!

    The Shave...
Went with the standard 2 pass shave. 1st pass (WTG) went was (to rob from the Talking Heads) same-as-it-ever-was, but did get me slightly in the spot where I set down incorrectly yesterday--should have been looking for that.

Pass 2 (ATG/XTG) went fairly well, and I wisely took my time over yesterday’s set down error, and experienced no further drama.

The results were somewhere between DFS and CCS. I decided to call it good and walk away mostly irritation free except for a small area on my neck where I tried (largely without success) to shave sideways, against the grain. I’ll save that move for another day...

    ...well, maybe sometime in May.

Top of the week folks--show it who’s boss! :D

Great Menthol Monday shave, Tim. Those Stirling Finest Fan knots are quality knots, no question.
