  1. you are welcome.again my opinion may not be the best ,no expert in the scent description field.seems some other of my recommendations haven't fared too well for some.this hobby is truly individual preference..i do wear the cologne /edt outside of the house with some good comments, the aftershave is a little too flowery/powdery so i don't wear it if i am going to work..
  2. I'll have to "settle" for that today. Nice cartoon :).
  3. I haven't been to work this week. Just a bit of a sore throat and a cough. I wouldn't have normally missed work but coughing in public and a pandemic don't mix.

The refinery is still running which means there's still equipment to be repaired. I'll talk with the nurse this afternoon to see if I'm cleared for work tomorrow.
  4. Hi all!
Getting a break here long enough for a report.
Got out my B-G , double edge, open comb, folding thumb-finger grip, razor.
Loaded a new Feather Blade and went to work.

I have to go a little slower with this razor, but I can get a good shave otherwise.
Holding the cap at the right angle and keeping it there is the skill set needed to run this tool.
Not being a brush hog, I still got a respectable shave non the less.
Got out my assortment of Stirling Spice, soap, AS, and ASB.
Got some great lather and blew up the house with the scent.
Both Head and Face got 2 passes and I'm clean and smooth ready to go.
    No issues!

    All
    stay safe!!

    ENJOY!
  5. Sorry about the rough shave, James.
    Thank you, Jason.
  6. fine shave and pic James.i have been reluctant to try any non gillette blades lately as i really like the russian gillettes and vintage spoilers,in turn have also stocked up on said blades, gsb.nacet, platinum(blue box).yellows, greens and blacks are good for a change also.a new "miracle" blade would deem my stock less useful.down the road in 10 or so years maybe..;).good luck with your new adventure..the derby premiums did surprise me though..smooth and sharp unlike the green extra blades that pulled/tugged for me .
  7. Sorry about today's result, James. It happens, and you'll get another chance tomorrow. I look forward to following along on your blade trial. Super photo as well! Stay safe, my friend.
  8. Nice, Terry! Once you finish using all the razors you think you have, check under the bed.

Be safe and have fun hangin' out in the woods.
  9. Nice shave, James!
  10. hope you are well Jim.i stayed home for 2 weeks due to a bad head cold/cough.feel fine now.could have been the bug,not sure.called work to touch base and my services aren't needed.well as a service writer nowadays it makes sense.so waiting for employment insurance now.will return to the shop when all this is over..will be tight but am well stocked for now.
  11. Thank you, Charlie! We are doing well. Every now and then, the cabin fever gets bad, but everyone is healthy. How are things for you and your wife?
  12. Glad to hear your feeling well, Gary.
  13. Awesome, Jim. I see those GameChangers with the Radio Knob handle are already sold out again. Love the look of that handle.
I don't have any idea what I'm doing for April yet, either.
  14. Great picture, Terry!
  15. I know I have been gone a few days, but has anyone heard from @jgreenepa recently?
  16. Here's to hoping you'll be clear to work! I can imagine the looks if you coughed at work!

    Thanks. It happens!

I've got some Gillettes on the list!

    I'll be back!

    Thank you!
  17. Great pic and write-up, Blair. I think it'll be a matter of time until I pick up one of those Evo brushes as well as I've really been enjoying the recent releases of high quality synth knots. Like you, I'll end up bashing it out of the handle as well.
  18. thank you Jim.i am glad i am feeling better.many out there are not and are facing worse issues.most grateful for my position right now..
  19. Thank you, Clint. I haven't had the chance to try all of the Gillettes out there, but I do agree with you that the NEWs are fantastic. In general, I place the 3 piece Gillettes ahead of the TTO Gillettes. I sit back and await the onslaught from the Gillette Adjustable, Ranger Tech, Red Tip, Rocket or Aristocrat fans...:)
