  1. very cool, will be following along..:)
  2. His son came on and posted this:

  3. That is a great reason to pick a soap, Joe. We can all use with a few smiles and laughs these days.
  4. Thanks, Jason!
The Radio Knob handle is my favorite of the handles IB offers. I would have picked it up on one of my earlier IB razor purchases but they were always sold out.
    Thanks, James.

  5. no disagreement from me.the NEW series are my favorites out of all my gillettes, but they all deliver fine bbs shaves..early techs included..just a technique tweak here and there..:)
  6. I hear you, Jim. My day does start with various video team meetings either on Zoom or Microsoft Teams. As such, I've been shaving very regularly. Jeans on below where the camera can see, though...
  7. Thanks Gary and you stay safe as well.

  11. I keep my camera turned off, except for a few people I know well. But, my days are full of webex meetings now. I think that someone said we have spent 10,000 man hours on webex since we started this two weeks ago.
  12. Thank You Gary!

Thank you Joe! Today's J.A.Henkels Friodur was actually my first straight razor purchase. Zero regrets!

Thanks Clint! The Cade is nice, quick/easy to lather, pleasant subtle scent. Any following fragrance will easily over power it. And, while the EVO enabling took some time....it is the nicest synthetic!

Awww....:ashamed001: Thank you Charlie! Sincerely appreciated!

    Thanks Jim!

    Thanks James!

Thank you Jason! It actually feels/looks/acts very similar to the flat top synthetic knot mounted in the Ever Ready original handle I recently acquired from the 2020 TSD traveling box. The EVO may just be packed slightly more dense. I'll do a magnifying glass enhanced bristle comparison & double bowl lather test in the next few days....
  13. There's nothing in the instructions that mention how long to soak the brush. That being said, IMO, you can't "over-soak" a brush. There's no such thing as too long in the water. Some shavers might argue that there is a "not-enough time in the water". A synthetic brush can be run under the running water and it's ready to go. The deciding factor when loading, is how much water you REMOVE from the knot, whether through shaking or squeezing or a combination of the two. I usually soak my brushes while I am in the shower. I then shake out the knot and give it a good squeeze. My goal is to start with a damp, but not dripping brush.
  14. Thank you, Joe.

  15. Thanks, James. Me, too. It actually irks me when I spend good money on a product and I can't use it.
  16. Very nice post James!
  17. Great shave Terry! I used the Spice for yesterday's shave and it is one of my favorite scents.
  18. His son Ben posted that Jeff was in the hospital with pneumonia. He os doing better and should be discharged soon and be back bantering ASAP.
  19. Thanks Jason. It is hard on everyone. I know next month is Adjustable April. However, I want to suggest that during this pandemic we should make every Friday, a Favorite Friday. On Friday, you choose your favorite razor, or soap or aftershave or blade or brush so as to make us smile. If Friday turns out to be a non-shave day, then choose Saturday and call it Special Saturday.
  20. Thanks for the update. We have been worried. Looking forward to seeing Jeff online soon.
