  3. Well, it wasn't so funny to a couple of freakish men who yelled at me to stay away from them.

  5. I have three stands, Jim. How many does your friend have? :D

    But it's not the stands I worry about. It's the I-beam supports under your...uh...your friend's shelves. That's what I worry about. :scared011:

  11. Thanks Tim! Several here followed along my history of this razor, but there's several newbies now who may not have the inside info :). Semi-short version, purchased Jan 2019 when I started wet shaving. UK based Etsy purchase, seller with good reviews, but even with that....the scales were warped and the blade wasn't centered. Tried some home repair remedies for warped scales, didn't help much for the centering issue. Decided to send off to Glen (TSD user @gssixgun) for new scales. He did an awesome custom job after letting me see all the colors/options, he even transferred the ornamental Friodur silver pieces. Then, he did his magic honing it. That was all August 2019. All I've done since is pasted strops and/or bridle leather to maintain.
  12. Thank you, James! :)

  13. Thanks, Joe! It's really been a fun month, and I've enjoyed the increased focus this tool has provided me. I can see why you enjoy shaving with an open blade so much :)

  15. Well, I can laugh now, but the whole thing upset me at the time.

  16. Listen to the engineer. Are the shelves attached to a load-bearing wall? Tell your friend it could be an issue.

  18. That's an awesome history! Super cool that he was able to keep the Friodur logo. Probably a hassle at the time, but seems pretty worth-it now :D
