    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 21

Two days of growth, two-plus passes, and a DFS+ overall result. No blood or irritation, and the alum was quiet. I'll take it.

I've completed 21 shaves using a Parker SRX shavette (a fantastic tool) since February 22. The shaves have generally been DFS or better, and my confidence continues to increase. I'm working on some new maneuvers and grips, and I continue to make baby-step improvements.

"Pink Thing" is back. The scales are starting to grow on me now. This razor just performs to perfection. Super sharp, and smooth 2 pass shave, that delivers great BBS results. Geneva Cutlery Corp makes fantastic razors. I think some of the best out there, for grind and the superior quality steel that is used.

Brush- JR#262(@Jayaruh ), Birdseye Maple/Ebony wood. Silvertip Badger Knot.
    Soap- Holy Kaw "OUD"
    Aftershave- Hill Country "Arctic Blue"

Well, believe it or not, the end of March has arrived. What a month. Great month on here and I want to thank everyone again for your constant support and participation in spite of a really unique and unprecedented month in the real world. Looks like April is going to continue in that vein, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone around again to maintain some normalcy in the world. Well, normal for us anyway. I know for most other people we aren't exactly the model of "normal". But that's ok. We don't want to be.

Final day of the month I just kept the Fatboy and Sharpstar out as it's a nice lead in to April anyway. El Caballero with the JR46 for great lather and three passes for the baby to show up. Fine, fine shave and a great way to end the month. See you all in April!!

Actually, I bought French Lover (aka Bois d'Orage) scent oil from Save on Scents, and then contacted Irena of Ginger's Garden and arranged to send her the scent oil and she made me some shaving soaps with this scent. I did the same with the deodorant in coordination with HeartJCreations on Etsy. The aftershave bottle is Sterling Soaps' "Unscented" and I added some of this scented oil to the bottle then "doctored" the label with my own name. :D This entire shaving set is a phantom. A full-on original. There doesn't exist another like it.

I chose the businesses to make these because they were willing to make these for me, but moreso, they make great products that are fantastic. Sterling Soaps unscented splash was a no-brainer in this because Rod already makes a splash that is as good as any I've come across.

    My Dad's Schick E3
    Personna

The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #400 brush. I took a break from my Black Beauty to use my Dad's Schick E3 in his honor. He made the wooden handle for this razor. Today, he would have been 106. He lived to be 83. I still miss him.

Two passes and touch ups with the My Dad's Schick E3 with a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
