Open Comb Central - The Place With Real Teeth (No R41, Hybrid or Closed Combs)

Thanks Gary. I wish I knew more about it. It's the first 2-piece Merkur open comb I've ever seen. I'm hoping it's a little more aggressive than their 15c.

 

i know very little about old merkur razors.i have a 34c and an open come 1904/6..but rarely use them at present..

 

The 34c is well liked. similar to the DE89. The 1904 oc has the same head as the 15c -- mild. and blade alignment is fussy.

Hi folks.
Today’s SOTD. Open Comb style.
Razor - Late 1960’s Gillette OC Tech head/Pendragon Bronze handle.
Blade - 1938 Gillette Red & Black Thin.

A true one pass shave. No touch ups. These old OC Tech razor heads are an excellent shaver when you want a milder OC shave. This one didn’t miss a whisker. Treated my face like a finely tuned Beamer would treat a stretch of the autobahn. I score this one out as a BBS.
