Finally done with my work week...

The girlfriend and I have a date tonight.

Yup... 3-4 shots is about right.

Razor roll? Just guessing.... piece of fabric with pockets straights can slide in then the flap side covers and you can roll your straights all up? I have something like that, just curious how common they were...


Why am I selling the Yellows? No, I am not going straight shaving only. While some members claim they get 7, 8, 9 or more shaves off a yellow, I can't even get 2. I have the same problem with feathers. I don't know if it is the courseness of my beard, but those blades don't have the same lasting power for me. I can get 4-5 days on a 7 O'Clock black and have more consistent shaves so I will probably pick up some more of those (after I pay for an iKon)

I saw that this morning. Unfortunately, I only have one fat tech handle at the moment.

 

Justin, have you tried the shark blades? I am working on my 7th shave with the first one

Also do you have a pic of you shave king handy? I can't find a pic of it, google just keeps bringing back king of shave cr@p

Sorry Jason, I only have one fat handle tech, and that I got from this old grouch named Rolls, you might have run into him before.

That old grouch is the reason I am hunting down all the fat handled Techs I can find. He had the idea to do a "DE themed" Christmas one year, but he never got to do it. So, I am putting together Shave kits for all the guys in my family, and a few friends too. They will all have the same stuff in them. a Fat Handled Tech w/ an assortment of good blades, one of my own handmade silvertip brushes, a tub of TBS shave cream, a puck of AOS unscented, a bottle of AV, and a bottle of Nivea ASB.

I am most likely going to give one away on here too as a Christmas PIF.

 

Nope, I haven't tried Shark or Nacet, Lord, Treet.... Really there is a lot that I haven't tried. I tried to avoid getting into BAD. Instead I hit SAD, RAD, etc...

@ Doug - stop vacuuming, that sucks! and get out to the cedar lodge!

@ Bong & Justin & other Aeropressers (maybe we need a social group?) - yeah, barely follow the standard directions anymore, unless I'm introducing someone to the AP for the first time.
My general recipe is 3 heaping tablespoons coffee, pour about 1/4 cup hot water, stir a little, another 1/4 C, stir some more, let "bloom", then about 1/2 C, stir for 10 seconds, then fillup to 4 while still stirring.
Put plunger in and leave for about 10 seconds, as it helps slow the water from draining, then plunge for 20-30 seconds.
Strong but smooth.


And I still need to order some Shark blades, I saw about them over a year ago and wanted to try them then, but have only just seen them available for sell the past month or two.

And that Shave King is awesome looking, I've got to find one

 

Jason, I love that idea. It is definitely a great reminder!

BTW: before I saw your WTT thread, I was using a NDC tech and thought about him... grabbed the AV without even thinking.

Mostly I use Astra (can get 3-4 good shaves) and 7 O'Clock Black (can get 5 good shaves). However, I still have some blades left from sampler packs and that I picked up here and there (including some iridiums that I got from you). I keep thinking about buying some bulk KAI (can get 6 good shaves) or Iridiium (can get 3 good shaves)

OK, gotta pack up and head out to take daughter to her bowling league. This may be a very long 3 hours.
