I thought I’d create a theme for April for those of us who are fans of vintage Avon aftershaves. I call it Avon April and I encourage all my fellow TSD members to partake in Avon April if they have any vintage Avon products. Shave soaps, aftershaves, mugs, brushes etc are all welcome. If it’s Avon it fits with Avon April. During the month of April post your shave pics featuring your favorite Avon items.

Avon Oland. Since I'm home alone at the moment, there's no one to offend.

Just ordered Avon Musk For Men, Ferard Pour Homme and Seazone. Now I’ll have a different scent for every day/shave of April.

I ordered most of my vintage Avons from eBay with a few found in the wild for good measure.

Sounds like a great plan. I'm in, prb starting tomorrow. I have bought a cpl of the aftershaves on ebay, but most of my finds have been from the wild...yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores etc. I think I have 17 or 18 a/s and matching cologne for most if made, and do have some colognes that I dont have the a/s for. I love vintage Avon! Now to go through my den and see if there's other Avon items I may have forgotten about.

    Avon April shave 3
Brush: Maggard Razors red swirl synth Timber 24mm synthetic
Razor: 1952 Gillette Black Tip Super Speed
    Blade: Zorrik
    Soap: 1982 Avon Gentlemen's Regiment
    Aftershave: 1969 Avon Wild Country

Today was my first use of the Avon shave soap; while the scent may be gone the performance was top notch. Plenty of slick lather was built that also was cushiony enough to protect my face. I highly recommend this soap if you're looking for a different brand of vintage shave soap. Good shave good day everyone. 9F61D47A-3E27-4B6F-9F9F-A0A3044F59FD.jpeg

Oh boy...thanks for that info on the soap. I'd love to track some down now. I'm not concerned about the scent either, as you mentioned. I just think it'd be neat to use it for it's unique spot in shave soap history.
