Today's shave has something I've never posted before. Kikuboshi theme Super Kikuboshi razor Kikuboshi strop. I have never posted this. I rarely use it as I'm not sure what material the fine piece is. In one sense it seems like cordovan. In one sense feels like some sort of foam. So I really dont know. I just love that it is a kikuboshi strop. One of my favorite brushes. Graydog Backyard maple. Thank you, Sir!!! They sure are but its hard work to photo the scallop on the spine, But the razors are fantastic to use just the right weight and balance in the hand. Love the Heljestrand Razors and love the sports car you have their beautiful razor.....
Pradat brun frameback with damast blade. Finisher was a piece of thuringer. I think this will give a smoother edge then an ozuku. Arko sensitiv shaving cream + tüff sensitiv as. @TestDepth thanks for the inspiration. Next shave will be with a heljestrand.
Testing out the stone that I refurbed yesterday (details in the hone thread), the shave was sublime, just stupidly smooth. Now I am BDBS. If a stone can put this kind of edge on a Gold Dollar/Monkey, it’s a winner. Soap was MdC vetiver lathered with a Rooney beehive 1, and a dab of ABC almond balm finished up.
