    The Speick Shaving Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #400 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette 109 Black Beauty with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    There are some films that, despite being seen over and over, I keep liking them; like 'Where Eagles Dare': it's over fifty years old, and, despite all the anachronisms, inaccuracies and tricks, evident even then, the acting is still engaging.
    And this is not the only one!

    Beautiful evening and awakening, finally at a decent hour, and sybaritic shower and imperial shaving, despite the sun insisted pertinaciously to enter the bathroom.

    I'm surrendering to these sunny days and, step by step, I'm moving on to spring fragrances.

    At last the 4711 has lathered decently, spreading its perfume all around: I left it on a damp towel for the time of the shower and, at the moment of sticking it on my face, it was softened to the right point to leave an adequate dose on my masculine face.

    The rest is due to the razor and the blade that make up an absolutely and effectively pleasant pair.

    Friday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Derby day 7
    Alluvian Norwegian Spear SS
    Bull Dog Moisturizer
    Krampert’s Bay Rum AS Splash
    Aramis EdT

    Wow, the Derby blade really had a tough time this morning so I scrapped it as soon as I was finished. The Alluvian is the most expensive and controversial soap I have in my den - it cost me 35 bucks CAD and I had a terrible issue when I first bought it because I couldn’t open the container and I got very nasty when the smartass salesman at first refused to take it back. Anyway I finally had it replaced free of charge and I enjoy this soap a lot - it has a lovely minty scent with notes of clove mixed in, the lather explodes and gets so thick, not to mention the great refreshing effect it has. The Bull Dog moisturizer gave me wonderful soothing, and do I ever love the Krampert’s Bay Rum aftershave. All in all a super smooth shave despite the dull blade!

    SOTD, Friday April 3 2020.

    Razor : Oneblade Core version 2 - MFG 2018> excellent razor for a daily driver with a Gem.
    Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE modified (10)
    Soap: Arko - one of my first soaps when I got into traditional shaving, great lather qualities- scent is not optimum for some. [​IMG]
    Brush : Razorock Noir 400 Plissoft synthetic- great brush and as close to a real boar brush as synthetics can get IMO.
    Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
    Prep : cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
    Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
    Results: CCS,DFS,BbS+ no irritation + no weepers =[​IMG]just a great shave in my books.
