I think that I should have, but I have wrapped it with 2 bandaids. I am still here, because I didn't bleed out. Lol! Anyway, I will keep it bandaged for a few days.

I don't think I'll be buying one of those!
Fingers crossed for you buddy. Hospitals are not really places you want to be at the moment, if you can avoid it!

Thanks Tim! It was a freak accident. It bled very badly, but I think I will live because I am still here. I had to wrap it in paper towel. I realized that I didn't have bandaids and had to go to CVS to get the thick ones. I double wrapped the pinky and hope for the best. It happened 3 hrs ago so I guess the bleeding stopped! Lol!

Thank you my friend! It's a rainy day so I am conserving my energy because I don't want to put stress on my wound.

Thanks Jim! It is a serious cut, but I believe I will be fine. I just will keep the bandaids on for a few days and don't put any pressure on it. In keeping with my month's theme, I will just use my vintage safety adjustables for the next couple of shaves.

Thanks Blair! Outside of the serious cut, I liked this combo. More often than not, I shed blood when I use my Henckel's, but this was the worst. This razor is super sharp.

As I have said in the past...Primo has no patience for poor products.
    You won't be sorry, Gary.

Rotating through the razors that haven't had a run in awhile, I pulled out the awesome little '66' this morning.
I've been having issues with this Reserve soap lately. It used to be a fave, but the soap has changed over the past few years. The scent is as fantastic as always, and it is big reason I don't want to give up on this one. I got this soap right away when the Reserve soap line was introduced a year or so after the splashes. I guess that makes it at least 2+ years old. It used to take a very short load or else it would become a stringy mess. Lately, though, I've been struggling to get a good lather with it. I think I've got it figured out now. Firstly, I bloomed it. I don't bloom soaps normally (not an anti-bloomer, just don't usually do it), but a few drops on the puck before I get in the shower seems to work well with it. Secondly, I load the heck out of it. Given that I generally ensure that there is lots of product on the brush, this means I really make sure there is lots. I was rewarded today with as good a lather as I've ever gotten with a Reserve soap. I know that one or two of you have also commented that your Reserve soaps have changed. I would really recommend blooming and loading the heck out of the hardened puck beyond what seems necessary. Worked wonders for me today.
Had a very nice 3 pass'er. Not quite as close on my chin as I've gotten lately and consistently, but more than acceptable. The splash is as nicely scented as always.

    Have a great day all.

    Stick with the original, James.

Thanks James. That's another reason why I didn't go seek medical attention. I live in NY and it is a hot spot for the corona virus.

The reserve soaps from B&M are my least favorites, Jason. Glad you figured out how to get the most from them. I HATE their consistency.

    Avon April shave 3
Brush: Maggard Razors red swirl synth Timber 24mm synthetic
Razor: 1952 Gillette Black Tip Super Speed
    Blade: Zorrik
    Soap: 1982 Avon Gentlemen's Regiment
    Aftershave: 1969 Avon Wild Country

Today was my first use of the Avon shave soap; while the scent may be gone the performance was top notch. Plenty of slick lather was built that also was cushiony enough to protect my face. I highly recommend this soap if you're looking for a different brand of vintage shave soap. Good shave good day everyone. 62B76F3B-33AA-469D-8A51-9D93F9B3B013.jpeg

Terrific shave Jason. Sometimes we have to change the way we load soap to get the best results.

Amen. Just look what B&M did to their soaps with the reserve line. (ok, I might be in the minority here).
