Happy Friday Tim. Given all that was going one, you did fantastic to avoid bloodshed.

It's always fun to see the progress one makes transitioning to a straight/shavette. Well done, Tim.

Sorry about the wound Joe. I've cut my fingers while using my straight. Not nice at all. Way to stick with the shave.

Wow, Tim! Great job completing your shave without incident. Before long you'll be log rolling while shaving.

Good outcome considering the distractions Tim!

Thanks Evan! After 153 straight shaves it shouldn't have happened, but it did. I am praying that it closes up nicely.

It's encouraging to me to see that a Midnight Stag "bundle"(my quote-they don't do bundles)of soap and A.S. is about equal to one Bill Neumann aftershave.

Great shave and report, Tim. A shavette shave locked in a room with a 2 year old...yeesh.
I like to have some lather left over as well, fwiw.

This is the stuff I use, Tim. I get it from a Woodturner's supply store:

I'm sure you there, there are a lot of turners around here. :) Since you posted a picture of a wooden handle, I'll let Jason bring you up to speed. I'm the only one turning metal on hear. While there is a whole world of stuff I can do, artistic work is considerably harder.
