I’ve actually never turned a razor handle, Evan. Patrick @9nein9 has done a bunch, I believe.
Can’t wait to see your custom SS handles when you get them done.:)

Amazing how certain items you seem to have bookmarked for an instant "go to" when you need it. Revisionist history is a terrible thing. Nothing sordid about Adam loaning me the Toggle. And nothing sordid about how I came to actually own it. You know his wife and the looks she gives him. He wanted to buy another straight but didn't want to spend the money in fear of "the look". Selling the Toggle to me provided the cash he needed so that he could say "look, honey, I didn't spend nearly as much since I sold another razor!" It worked. He bought the straight, avoided the look, and the Toggle stayed at Cartel HQ, in spite of the Kentucky connection trying to intercept it. I'm the Czar for a reason. And not just my good looks. :happy005:

I suppose it's all a matter of perspective, Neal. As far as Czars go, though, you look pretty snazzy. And, yes, I have bookmarked a few things. :p

    Must. Have. That. Kitchen.

Now you're thinking outside the box--something shenanigators are highly skilled at ;)

Jim, something tells me that we're going to hear a lot about slippery elm bark this month. Or maybe someone barking about slippery elm? :D

Slippery Elm Bark is just a hippy name for sawdust and maybe a tad more effective than steel cut oats.

Chemists! Look at the facts, Joe! We gave Slippery Elm to Fido, and he stopped barking!

Is that A-Rod, after taking off his upper-bodywear after hitting a home run, and getting booed for it?

Definitely a gap on that razor. Those kinds of shaves are the best. You have that "do I really want to try this" moment then you try it and.....yep, still a shaving stud.

    Arko Adjustable April

    April 3

    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9)
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Arko
Brush - Stirling Two Band Synthetic
    Post - Alum

We've made it through Friday, so the weekend is here!! Close enough to be official so go for it. Just be safe, right? I finished the day off and headed home for a great dinner followed by a great shave. The Toggle and Voskhod are a match made by the shaving gods. Well, any Gillette Adjustable and Voskhod are that good together, to be honest. Still using the Arko and enjoying the simple ease that is its calling card. The Stirling synthetic forced the lather up in about 3 seconds and there was enough for all day shaving. Three passes of smoothness and the baby is in the house with no issues. Great way to finish a Friday. I'm out and about all weekend hauling food so you guys take care and have some fun! Have a great Saturday!
