Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse Speick Shaving Cream Jayaruh #400 Classic Samurai CWR Speick AS The Speick Shaving Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #400 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Classic Samurai with a Personna half blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
I love it for its backbone, perfect for hard soaps even if here I used the puck as stick! Soap isn't that much, as a matter of fact but the smell is fantastic! I found it merely by luck: did not even know it existed. Seems made by an Italian factory with lots to learn about shaving soaps...
2020-04-04, Saturday It's Saturday, finally: I don't go to work, I don't have to stand in a queue and look for a parking. If these bases why rushing? Relax in bed is a practice to promote: no one has ever died of too much rest! The instinct to get up and act must be controlled: and I, modestly, controlled it. The egg, kindly offered by the neighbour, was excellent and so was the speck,but, now I feel like a reservoir of tea again! I have finished the jar of raspberry jam, but my foresight allows me not to be without it, although I think I will open an albionic one of orange marmalade, as a counterpoint to mine: I say this because you do not get worried and challenge the rules of isolation imposed by enlightened leaders to bring me some! Even my shave has been a pleasant one... It's been a while since I used a SaVa soap: they are good, even if the scent hasn't convinced me yet! I had written that I have been involved in the genesis of these soaps, not the technical part, of course, but the plastic underwear and fragrances one. But Andrea and I had very different ideas and, of course, his ideas prevailed. But it's certainly not because of the scorn that I don't appreciate the sniffing notes. In fact, I could not say in what way the fragrance of 70° differs from that of Floris No. 89: two elegant, delicate, harmonious fragrances, but one leaves me indifferent, and the other bewitches me. Is the neighbour's soap always greener? Italian xenophilia? I don't know. But the quality is certainly worthy and such was the shaving that I immortalized in a photo of rare beauty in an unusual background: enjoy it now! Saturday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/new Derby Mickey Lee Paradise Frost SS Arko Aqua AS Gel Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash This Paradise Frost from Mickey Lee is really a great soap - it has a lovely citrusy scent, it lathers like a champ, and it has a bit of a menthol sensation along with very soothing skincare. The Arko Aqua gel smells so nice, it’s so cooling, and it moisturizes the skin very well. The Aqua Velva Sport aftershave went on ice cold and do I ever love the scent of it. SOTD, Fri April 4th 2020 Razor : Valet auto-strop C1 Canadian variant- Mfg 1920's> I modified safety bar gap to blade from .011 to .007 thousands of inch to smooth out the shave. Works well and is a lot smoother a shave. Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) modified. Soap: Razorock Lavender - great soap with good lather qualities! Brush: Razorock Standard Plissoft. Pre-shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area. Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3. Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = great shave this morning! Have some great shaves!
