Lovely summary! Joseph, I look forward to registering for the course. Do you head shave, just curious?

I would like to understand if menthol crystals in a solution do indeed loose the ability to cause the sensory reaction.

You’re welcome, Cliff! It was one of those shaves that you remember.

Thanks, Dan! It was a great shave! I’ve been following your Rex journey with interest. I’ll be using mine tomorrow.

Isn't it great to find a forgotten razor that does a great job! Great shave Terry!

Thanks, James! Yes, every bit as cool as a straight Cryogen shave! MWF when spiced with M-Bomb is superior to the Cryogen soap.

Great photo and shave! How would you describe the scent of Electric Sheep?

I know that those PAL Injectomatics are very sought after razors and hear that they deliver excellent shaves. The Personna injector blades are for me a hair smoother than the Proline blades, but not as sharp!

I’m a big steel cut oatmeal fan as well, Bill! There’s another hot cereal I love that dates back to my childhood that I love, Wheatena! Great stuff!

I am not experienced in using menthol drops, but this is an educated guess. Keeping menthol drops in the fridge will make it colder by virtue of lowering the temp. Applying it to a soap will not affect the feeling to your face because you are applying kinetic energy (raising the temperature) by swirling the brush. Adding the cooled menthol drops to the AS will raise the temp because the AS is at room temperature. Therefore, I would keeping it in the fridge would have little effect under the circumstances. Now, if you applied the drops directly to your face, your skin would warm the liquid drops quickly but you would still get the cooling effect of the menthol. Menthol doesn't lower skin temp, but it effects the sensory nerves so that you feel the cooling effect. However, I have a suggestion. Place some refrigerated drops on a dish and let it stand for a few min to reach room temp. Get two soaps with the same brand and two similar brushes. Pour the room temp drops onto the soap and lather one side of face. Do the same with the refrigerated drops on the other soap and lather the other side to compare the feeling. Now, if you have 2 bottles of drops, one in fridge and one at room temp, then tvis experiment would be much easier. I have used Cryogen with cold water and it was cold, but I feel that if I used warm water, then the cooling would be just as intense.

I still have it bandaged, but I have lightly squeezed it and got very little pain. I will keep it bandaged for another day and then see how it is.

Looking good, Gary! Reminds me of when I ripped the Lukas Electrics wire harness out of my TR6 and replaced it with a Bosch harness. Lo and behold, no more electrical issues, an endemic complaint about my car, and what I lived through until I worked up the courage to do the conversion. Not being an expert like you, it took me almost 2 months to get everything dialed in properly! Boy, am I glad I did it. Looking forward to pulling it out of storage next week.

If you can, I recommend going the liquid bandage route when the scab solidifies. Worked beautifully in my healing process. You can order from Amazon.

    Duly noted. Thanks Paul.
Thank you, James. Every time I see an un-alphabetized list...
