A very nice relaxing morning here at the homestead. I slept a little later and then took a long leisurely walk with Mocha. I did manage to stick with my rule of trying to shower and shave before noon. The Omega Evo is a fantastic brush. The brush was one of my best enabling purchases. I went with another three pass shave followed by touch ups along my jaw line and buffing my lower neck. I caught the baby with ease. Overall a wonderful drama free shave. A splash of Colonia aftershave and I am ready for another day sheltering in place. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    From the Stirling site.
"..... Lemon, Citronella, and Eucalyptus essential oils blend well with the mutton tallow to provide an invigorating and supremely clean scent with this soap."

The citronella rules out, very, very, very intense.
On a Stirling Soap scent intensity scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 15.
I keep it in a sealed container, else it takes over the room, then the house.

The razor-n-blade combo, I like sharp blades, the angle and pressure normally smoothes them out.

Short on time called a fast shave.

Proraso menthol cream smeared wonderfully on the ugly mug.

Whipped into a lathery frenzy by a wet synth.

That supposedly sharp blade with those dastardly glue dots that always seems best for me on (2).

The hefty 1/3 lb. (that is about 150 grams... for those outside Murica) handywork of that Razor Master Craftsman and Designer, one Tom White @twhite. Dialed down to ONE as if I was afreard of it.

I found it challenging to hold on 'best angle' on long strokes, so I went with the intuitive method and applied pressure. Just enough of that to chafe up a patch that the alum would later show the fallacy of.

Went for the buffing action. Obviously the overlapping nature of this technique actually produced more passes than the 3.5 as recorded by the 'Official Re-lather Count'. I was able to find smooth cutting through the fine tune of every stroke, I even included ATG work on the lower neck that I only do selectively.

End result, another wonderful shave. So who says you can only get a close shave with an aggressive tool? Not me, you just shave a little different.

For sure, this tool does the trick at BOTH ends of the spectrum. The heft helps on the dial-down, not so opened up.

I especially love the cap design. Thin, with a curvature similar to a Gillette New, and a similar positive full curve blade clamping.

Finished up with Proraso go go juice.

    Stay tuned......

That was most interesting and helpful, Joe :). There is one problem on my end, I can't do your experiment as described. Why. Simple reason-I threw out the "watery" Frost Drops, thinking they wouldn't be good for summer, jus sitting at room temp.. It was only when I threw out the 2 that I decided "Hey, how about putting the remaining two in the fridge??" My bathroom, I should add, is too small for chemistry experimentation. I'll take one of the "fridge drop bottles" out and return it to the bathroom, keeping the other in the fridge until just before use. I'll bet I could sense a difference(should there be one)after use of both bottles onto my 2 Razorocks(during different shaves, of course)..or ..well, I better stop here at the risk of confusing us!! You've helped me get set for this baby(experiment). Thanks Joe :).

You are welcome Paul. I would be surprised if there is a noticeable difference.

So the two unrefrigerated that you threw out actually lost their cooling sensation?

Great video. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to make observations about how much bigger my country is than everybody else's and that they do things differently than I do and that they sound weird when they talk--then I'm gonna drink a nice tall glass of wadder ;)

    After Shave - Nivea balm

Inspired by Terry (and because I am woefully unable to stick to a focus of any kind, I pulled out my Schick injector and went to work... Injectors make it really easy to fly around your face - especially under the nose area!

It really was a pointless shave. The R41 left me with virtually nothing to do today. I normally shave every other day, and my skin reminded me of that fact. I did try to get people using Proraso today, so figured I better had too! :D. No major irritation, just not as pleasing post shave as normal. I do also detect some hint of burning from the Proraso Sandalwood, just as I do with the TOBS of the same scent... Maybe another to pass on!

A decent shave and I am smooth and clean and ready to go!

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves gentlemen.

@jgreenepa Jeff, well I decided to take the bandage off to see how the wound is doing. I am surprised it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I have a dark red blob of dried blood and the wound is not infected. It isn't so sensitive to the touch and there is very little liquid on the surface. I would say that it will heal, but it is going to be awhile. It is a good thing that I changed the bandages. So I double wrapped the wound once again. If it was sensitive to slight squeezing and blood started to ooze then I would have gone to a doctor for medical care.
