It can be a blues thread evey now and then; that's what's fun about music tag. Everyone thinks of music they enjoy and we all get to expand our tastes a bit. I tend to add too many old jazz standards, but I think it all works out in the end.

I don't miss having young kids starting school (well, I do, kind of ). That whole cycle can go on for months. This year I'm getting a flu shot, especially after the cold I had back in June.

JoAnna - I'm sure Santa knows you've been nice!

Oldest son just woke up and asked what he can do for a sore throat. :mad:

 

Neti pot huh? I've seen them, but I don't think I could bring myself to use one, afraid I would have a drowning sensation.

 

Not allowed to shop at Wal-Mart unless absolutely necessary, but I have seen several versions at Walgreens cheap. I have thought about using them to see if they would help with my sinus headaches.

Second morning in a row where my insides felt rotten. I am starting to wonder if Imperial Stouts and ice cream isn't a good after the kid is in bed snack.

*sigh* I can't open the thread without watching my internet connection die a rapid death. I can't open it at work, so I just go on ignoring the thread until someday when I give up on my aeropress and go sit at a coffeeshop with a pair of headphones and steal their wifi....

 

I need more coffee paraphernalia like I need another '58 SS :happy102

Oh my... I just changed some settings to see if they will help me access this place from cell phone (OK, I can tediously read but I can't post). So now all avatars and signatures are gone, I have switched to the basic text editing window, and the newest posts are on top - not the bottom.

I am all ready to check to see if this helps me use my phone to navigate the site.... oops. I left my phone at home.

 

while looking at netipots, thinking "I know these help a lot of people, but I can't imagine me making myself use this properly...for cryin' out loud, I can't even put eye drops in my own eyes!"
the I saw this and thought, "yeah, I could use that". Same principle as the pot, same solution mix in fact, but it's a squeeze bottle instead of a pour bottle

morning folks.

my beloved daughter decided to wake up at 0dark30 in a foul mood. woke the beloved son up with her beloved crying.

it's gonna be a long day.

LOL well all you know what broke loose last night at my house.

I had put piles of laundry on the floor of the bathroom (sorted) waiting to be washed, when one of the kids (all claim their innocence of course) plugged the toilet and it over flowed. What a mess..... Well the now dirtier laundry had to go into baskets which will later need to be bleached. (more work)

Then something under the kitchen sink let loose and I had a flood of water in the kitchen. When hubby installed my garbage disposal, things didn't exactly match up perfectly, then it was a sunday so he made it work. Then forgot and didn't go back and redo it. So he's working harvest hours (he works for a grain elevator so in the fall he works 15-16 hr days) so he wasn't home yet. And I didn't want him to have to deal with that mess when he got home. So I got the mess cleaned up and dried off. Then I attacked the pipes with a roll of duct tape. This is not the duct tape you buy in stores, it's the industrial strength stuff.... *grins* So now i have about a 1/2 roll under the skin. But on the plus side, the leak is now fixed. So now once harvest is over, he's going to have to cut all the pipes off and replace it all. ~giggles~ There is no way he is going to be able to get that duct tape off.......

Then woke up this morning and my website is down, but Lori knows about it and is working on fixing it. Not just mine but others as well. I don't envy her job at all.

So..... today has to get better..... today has to get better.... today has to get better...

Oh on top of that it's gray, cloudy, cool and FOGGY out.... *yuck*

Ok, now THAT would be fun.

 

OK, now that's nowhere close to funny...earlier this morning at my desk I felt something on my leg above my sock - figured it to be my shoelace standing up under my pant leg, so I shake my leg and it goes away.

In the process of shaking my leg, I rearrange my feet to get more comfortable and carry on.

Now I've just left my office to take care of a problem, sit down at my desk, and there's a dead baby snake where my feet were!
