Just be careful, Tim. The virus is apparently quite mild with kids, but can be deadly to those of us 60+, and in my case well past 60!

Glad the cut is a best case scenario cut, Joe. The cool thing about getting cut by a sharp blade (that sounds so weird to say ) is that it's usually a clean cut that knits together quickly if you can keep the two halves snug. The glue might do the trick after all

From my understanding of menthol, it freezes at room temperature. It melts around 100 degrees Fahrenheit or so.
It boils above 400 degrees F.
If there is more menthol in solution than the liquid can hold (saturated) at temperature, it precipitates out.
So if there are crystals in your solution, you have 2 options.
1 Add more liquid so the menthol stays in solution not saturated.
This is normally some kind of alcohol.
2 Heat the solution to above 100 degrees Fahrenheit melting the crystals.
From my understanding of the stuff.
If you put it in the fridge for a while, say a couple days and it stays liquid.
It's in a stable solution, and should stay liquid.
Just what I've read.

But seriously--all week long I keep going to the den, picking stuff up, rearranging, and just fiddling with stuff that needs no fiddling with, and then dejectedly leave because I shaved hours ago and have nothing more to do.

Is this why you RAD guys keep buying stuff? If so, I get it now!

I didn't use the liquid bandage just yet. Right now, it doesn't look pretty, but my pinky is still attached. If there was swelling, an infection, or severe pain, then I would have sought medical attention. This was a deep cut and it will take awhile for it to heal. It's been over 30 hrs and no complications so that's a very good sign.

All is good here. I will be unavailable for the next few days. The time has come to unplug and tune out the world for a bit. Have a great weekend and I'll be back early next week.
