I think you couldn't have shaved daily with your technique two years ago. Learning good prep and proper technique go a long way to toughening up your skin. Mindset, skill set, then tool set.
Very nice, Gary. I see those newer Proraso creams are available ‘regular’ size now, in Europe at least.
thank you Jason.the beard balm, shave oil are here at shoppers drug and others locally, the cream and cologne may follow suit.interestingly shoppers stocks proraso green and white soap tubs and cream tubes and said balms.maybe they need a nudge..
Thanks Joseph on both fronts. Actually, it is my left pinky. I removed the bandaids this morning and have blobs of dried red blood. The pinky doesn't have any obvious infection because there wasn't any swelling nor pus. When I gently squeezed it, then there was very minor pain and no blood oozing. I doubled wrapped it again with bandaids. It is now 33 hrs since the cut and at this point there still isn't any pain so I will cautiously say that I will be fine. I still have my pinky and that's a good thing.
Jason, it's a really classy watch. It doesn't appear to have any markings other than "Geneve" and "Swiss" on the dial. I looked at a few vintage ads, and it appears to be men's manual wind dress watch from the 1960s. Here's what it looks like with a strap: https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-ME...CH-GOLD-FILLED-MINTY-WORKS-WELL-/163632969515 Here's a similar model. At 8:00, this guy pops the back off the watch. It has a beautiful movement. Here's a little brand history: http://largevintagewatches.blogspot.com/2018/12/the-history-of-wittnauer-watch-brand.html Bottom line...you've got a really nice vintage watch there. Check the time keeping after 24 hours. If it keeps time reasonably well, I'd add a strap and wear it. With some Polywatch (or something similar), you can remove the scratches from the acrylic crystal. Keep this beauty far away from water, as I'm sure it is not water-resistant. Congrats, and be sure to share a wrist shot.
Wow, thank you for taking the time to do some research for me, Charlie. Sounds like it is worth getting some Polywatch and a decent band. Thanks again, my friend! I should mention that my daily driver is also a Wittnauer- 20 year old Montego divers watch.
