    Good morning everyone!
I took my time for a great comfy shave.
Used a H3 Gillette Slim loaded with a new Feather blade.
2 passes head and face, no issues.
I have been letting my moustache grow on the sides, per the boss.
Now I have to use my glasses to shave around it.
Not where I wanted to be with this.
Hoping it will get to where that's not necessary, soon.

Used a little Spice to lighten things up a bit.
It's overcast, cool, and on and off rain.
I'll get outside between rain drops to do more out there today.
On today's menu, baked fish, rice and mixed veggies.
Gonna be a dreary day, might turn on the short wave radio during rain.
    Might take a midday nap.
    Well....

    Everyone
    ENJOY!

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

I know some news reports have shown wildlife moving into some cities. In STL I haven't heard of anything like that, although we're fairly used to their company in certain areas anyway. Town and Country, a suburb in western St. Louis County, is famous for the number of deer that live there. They actually had a limited hunting season in T&C last year just to try and thin the herd. Seeing raccoons around the metro area isn't unheard of either. I've run into them in North County before in an area you'd never think of finding wildlife. Of course, raccoons are highly adaptable anyway. We've had a few cougar sightings in Chesterfield along the Missouri River, all caught by trail cams. Migratory males moving along the river no doubt. And, last year we had a black bear located near Eureka. That one was somewhat surprising. Black bear were once native to most of Missouri. They've reestablished in Arkansas and have been moving north into southern Missouri where they are more common, but that was the farthest north one has been seen.

If this thing lasts long enough I wouldn't be surprised to see some more wildlife activity. For now, it's mostly just Grubhub drivers who are filling the void. They aren't dangerous though. Just tip them well and they don't bite.

Episode 3 in the Adventures of Max Headroom and the New Hope.

    Starring:
The one of a kind, handsome, giant, and hefty Brass TAR loaded with a Feather cause it is surely not light as one.
The coolness and sweet aroma of Stirling Glacial Satsuma Soap and AS.
The iconic, if not steampunk, custom lather bowl from Symmetrical Pottery.
The tall and plainly majestic workhorse boar brush from Omega.

Having went to min-max levels and found pleasure of use and delightful results at each, it was time for the middle of the road.

Start up on about 2.5 was just not suitable for the buffing style I used all the way down and very difficult to ride the edge. I'm far too lazy and sloppy with the discipline required for a light touch shave at this setting, although it is probably not far from what I had used when I took up this hobby.

I dialed things up to 3.5 to get an edge feel, then to about 4 for a great shave. It turns out to be still riding the cap and feeling the edge at optimum, but has enough guard to minimize an error penalty.

Another thing I seemed to notice is the tool glides freely on the cap. Makes me wonder if plated pot metal has more 'sticktion' or it is part of the handling of such a heavy tool. On the heft thing, I never considered that shaving would qualify as 'working out'.

While I spend most of my time with open edge tools these days, this tool would call for me for a bigger slice of time for the DE format.

There have been wild rumors that the @twhite shave gear operations runs a highly security facility in the Nevada desert known as Area T51. Supposedly, there have been eyewitness accounts of tests being conducted on fast, light, stealthy shave gear with the capacity to be especially vicious to facial hair. I usually refute this type of conspiracy theory, but after finding the Rebus Tape proving the human volatility of blipverts, it is calling for some future work by this investigative reporter.

Edison Carter for Network 23 out.

Yea, I don't live near any big city, but I figure the night timers like raccoons, possum, feral cats and dogs and the like will wander in first.
Then the day-timers like dear, wild boar, that kinda stuff will come in later.
    But that's just a hunch.
I assume that those that did their rummaging through the dumpsters are feeling the pinch and might get ornery if you come upon them.
I already see the dear here in the woods changing the roaming pattern, because the morning and afternoon "rush" isn't there any more.
That did happen only during the time changes, but now with little to no traffic, even on the back roads, they seem to run most of the day now.
    just wondering.
    thanks

    timabababaluka No exceptions. Except.....

It's not a bad blade, but still really hard for me to gauge with a shavette--I liked it, though! I was going to try it out with the Slim, but the Slim is still so new to me that it seemed like too many variables at once. I'll definitely see how the Bic treats me next Slim Sunday when I run with the Slim again ;)

Thank you, Joseph! I may give that a try sometime next week--probably Sunday when I'll be pulling out the Slim and won't be taking so long to shave. :)
