    Muuuch better. The 1st wasn't a bad shave, but I was hoping for more. I forget which blade I had in it (I want to say Feather), but it was a blade I wasn't used to, and in a razor I hadn't used. Too many variables. Got it dialed in now ;)

    it was a decision that required some thought,not so much for the eveready 1912 though.i passed it on to our Danny here.nice shaver as well but the lack of blade choice/bulkiness axed it for me..tough decisions.they are all cool razors..same for shavettes and straights,love the history,their looks,the availability,would have been better for me to try them at an earlier not so knackered age..gillettes tick all the boxes..:)

    Nice shaves Evan! I like the Dovo straight! I have never used a Feather shavette so I am going to make a guess as to why you get more irritation with it. It may be the geometry of the razor doesn't allow you to get a more shallow angle then you would get with a regular straight razor. I notice this situation when I shave with my Parker shavette.

    awesome..when you set it to 3-4 it should feel like your flare tip..9 is good for heavy growth i guess.,but wide open isn't really dialed in..;)..good riding the cap practice though..

    Awesome Slim shave, Tim! DE shaves definitely improve when you apply the skin stretches that you have learned from shavette shaving.
