What a dreery day. Like a train wreck in slow motion. I looked for some bright n' shiny in my hygiene regime. I did get a good shave, and it feels nice to be cleaned up, and I'm praying that this plague peaks and ends soon. Slow motion morality isn't a mode that I enjoy.
The shave, I'm digging the scuttle, and another cream today. The figaro is very clean smelling and cool, I'm guessing i used them right, the names on the label are in a different language. The ole #7 performed great (a few hairs lost, no big deal). The Grande is still a mean little razor (only one little blood spot on my neck, weeper), but delivered a nice close shave. The figaro after was an alcohol slap, but dissipated shortly.
Most of note, was the warm lather on my subsequent passes.
All in all, good shave crappy day.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20200405_142353_resized(1).jpg

Wonderful shave, from a Spanish made razor. Smooth and laser sharp 2 pass shave, that left BBS results. A wonderful razor, that lives up to its reputation.

Razor- Filarmonica "14". A Paraguay marketed version. Made in Spain.
Brush- RazoRock 400. High Mountain Badger knot
Soap- ARKO. From Turkey. Excellent for face lathering. Super slick, rich and creamy.
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

As a further reply to @Terry asking about wildlife moving into the city, I'll add one item from today. I turned the corner near the union hall where I was a Chief Steward for several years (CWA) and had to find my way past a bunch of Canadian Geese who were casually strolling along all over the street and along the sidewalks. Now, this particular gaggle of geese has been in that area for quite some time. One of them used to build a nest near the CWA offices every year and terrorize anyone walking near it. (Canadians - you can never tell their moods until they attack - just had to throw that in there). Anyway, today they were being a nuisance just blocking traffic and not at all in a hurry to move. Seems they've begun to take advantage of the light traffic. Anyway, that's the wildlife report from GrubHub 1 in the middle of the pandemic.

Enough of that foolishness - on to the shave. One more round with the Toggle and Voskhod before switching out tomorrow. Arko, of course, along with the JR230 which is a small but quite elegant brush. No issues making the lather and the three pass shave brought the baby on board with no problems. Nice way to finally arrive at a day off tomorrow. Yep, going to sit at home like I'm supposed to and soak in some quiet. Not like there's a lot of that out there anyway the way things are.

Have a great Monday and if you're working from home this week DON'T BE LATE! Hard to explain that when your commute is a walk down the hall!

    Razor- Merkur 34c
    Blade- Astra SS (blue) #2
Soap- Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme
    Bowl- Captain's Choice
    Brush- Omega 21mm silvertip
Post- Classic Shaving alum, cold water rinse, Thayer's lavender WH

First time using PdP. Amazing hydration, great slickness and cushion, a big part of today's BBS 2-pass + clean-up on 3 days growth. Hours later my skin still feels moisturized. Shave was so good I skipped the Nivea balm I had planned to use for this night time shave.

For a hard soap I found it fairly easy to lather. Scent is nice- fresh, clean, cool- but very light and fades quickly. Next time I will try blooming it. Highly recommend.
