Is Arko the greatest value in all of shaving?

Thanks, Tim. Most of my misspellings are attributable to my Iphone behaving the same way. Those Prolines are great blades, but just not as sharp as the Feather Supers. Maybe palm stropping isn’t as effective with a really sharp blade? Who knows?

    Very nice, Jason!
Without thinking about being on theme I've used nothing but Astra SP's so far this month. Happy accident.
    Looking good, Jeff!
Impressive getting 28 shaves out of a blade.

Glad you are getting the Rex dialed in Dan. By the way, you need to release the plug to let the water drain to see the tub. Lol!

20 billion years later, and "Fool's Gold" and "I Wanna Be Adored" still get fairly regular air time on my playlists. I'd go with "Diesel Power" for The Prodigy, but head-bobbing and shaving are a terrible match ;)

Thanks, Tim. You probably noticed that on the tub Apothecary is spelt incorrectly. On the band around the tub it is correct. A forehead slapper for someone, I'm sure.
A while back, Jeeves of Hudson St used to name many of their soaps differently. Mountain Rain used to be Conservatory, Tobacco Bay used to be Velvet Jacket, etc. I always thought it kind of sounded 'Clue' like...

Nice shave Jason! Thanks for the acknowledgement! I only have one Omega boar brush and it is the Pro 49. After it breaks in, it is soft and easily splays to produce nice lathers. I still am surprised that this inexpensive brush performs so well.

Agree 100% on the Omega Pros, Joe. The '48 and the '89 have a slightly larger knot than your '49 (the '83 has the same knot in a shiny handle). They are all excellent, but some do find the '48 to be almost too big and lofty. I like that the handles are cheap and awful, I don't feel guilty bashing them out at all...:)

Thanks, Jason. That was about 6 months ago. These days I'm content with 10 to 15. I’m questioning whether the Feather Supers are worth it if I’m only getting 3 shaves per blade, that of course still remains cost-effective, but doesn’t compare with the Prolines which work out to be much cheaper shave-wise. I guess I need to consider the wonderful BBS shaves the Super delivered.

    Thanks, Jason.
This morning's shave was the best yet with the CG. Alum volume was down to what I consider acceptable levels which for me is less than warm. Silent is always the goal. The razor does feel like it'll take a hunk of flesh should I let my mind wander. It has silenced the urge for an Ikon Tech or a 2011 R41. If they could possibly have more blade feel than this thing, I'm not interested.

Great Tech shave, Jason! I shaved with an Omega Boar today. They can’t be beat once broken in. Enjoy your day!

Years ago, I was a cleaner at Stony Brook University. During semester break and summer vacation, I had to strip, reseal and polish the floors in the dorms. My floors shined like glass! I was a good stripper back in the day! Lol!

As we have our first look of the month at the Arko survey...we see Top Yes waaaayyy out in front at 70%, to Bottom Yes' 29%. Not yet ready to make a projection here, but Top Yes appears to be cloning Secretariat(1973 Belmont).

Wonderful shave, Dan! The Rex does tend to grow on you. I’ve never used a Rockwell blade, and have heard mixed reviews. How do you find them? Sharp? smooth?
