April 2020 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix and Discussion

The two Gillettes I really enjoy shaving with are my 1905 Old Type and that New Standard of mine you’ve seen. In fact, the Old Type is one of the reasons I knew I’d like the LaResche 51, which is an improvement on the OT.

 

Great shave pic, Angelo! Aren’t you sort of double dipping with an Envoy and an Ambassador. Just set the Ambassador on 3 and you’ve got the Envoy according to Matt Pisarcik.

That is one good looking razor. I still remember how close I came to buying the Copper Lvl2 after you featured it in one of your arresting color themed pics. Fortunately, my Silversmith has healed my RAD DE urges.

Thanks for asking, James. Yes, thus far! I haven’t left my home since my inpatient discharge. Starting to get a bit rammy, but otherwise ok. So outside of my cabin fever, I’m fine.

Prolines were my favorite AC blade, until I recently tried Feather Supers. Just don’t know how they’ll perform in my other AC razors.

The Dickinson's is ok. I really am looking for a substitute for the Thayer's Medicated WH, which has sadly been discontinued.

Yup, I know you have various dupes of it (I believe RR XXX is one of your best, iirc), that's why I mentioned that you went right to the source instead. I haven't tried the Fine Colonia dupe either, but I believe Clint @clint64 and a few others on here have.
