Oh, she sounds like a keeper for sure :D

Unlike half a year of Arko shaves, Chris's challenge could really help me up my game with the 1st pass, get me to focus on a plan of attack when shaving, and could help me shave a bit of time on what has been a rather lengthy process. Perhaps on Friday's I'll go back to 2 pass (a) to reward myself, and (b) to see if I've made any progress (2nd pass should be easier than they have been if I've progressed).

Cool. The razor looks to good to not use it right away.

    Soap - Arko
Brush - 30DC Meet UP LE w/ SynBad bulb
    Post - Alum

Yes, yes, yes, I know it's Menthol Monday, but Arko April takes precedence! At least on the first Monday of the month. I switched razors to the Super Adjustable, dialed up to 9 like any good adjustable should be, and started with a fresh Sharp Star. The 30 DC Meet Up brush with the SynBad bulb knot had no trouble at all whipping the Arko into a frenzy, and three passes did the trick. Baby in the house, no irritation, no blood, no problems. Super nice shave with a razor that has grown on me a bit. I wasn't too fond of the plastic handle at first, but the performance is there and all's good.

Hope you all had a great Monday! Full moon tomorrow so let's all go out tomorrow night and howl at it!! Beats being stuck inside another day, right?

    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 24

Two wonderfully orchestrated passes augmented by strategic touch ups exacted 36 hours of stubble growth, culminating in a comfortable DFS+ result. A few pesky strands of wiry chin hair survived the fiendish onslaught brought about by a Kentucky hillbilly wielding an Indian razor loaded with Russian steel and lubricated with Spanish soap. After the war on keratin came to a bloodless end, I masterminded new and improved skin stretches, aided by 3D computer modeling, slide rule calculations, and frantic notes made on a dinner napkin, that I will employ with reckless abandon and devoid of any malfeasance in future battle plans.

One operator-induced whoopsie left a pin-head sized red dot on my jaw that sneakily appeared several minutes after the all clear. The alum was as quiet as a husband should be during an argument, and I perceived warmth from the aftershave like sun rays gently poking through the leaves of a slippery elm on a lazy midsummer day. I experimented with Stirling body lotion in my post-shave routine in my relentless drive as a shaving clinician to gather scientific data within the context of scaled agile framework on product alternatives that effectively hydrate and condition my mug while minimizing any adverse effects.

To recapitulate and thus state what should be incredibly obvious to even the most casual observer, I'm dang proud of the shave.

Respectfully submitted for general amazement, peer review, and snarky comments.

    Yours truly,
    Charlie Danger, Esq.

Informative video, Chris. It was a solid application Jedi level skin stretching, and you demonstrated a couple of side-to-side strokes with the shavette that should help me on my chin. Thanks for posting, my brother.

Given the press that "Tiger King" has received (no, I haven't watched it and have no plans to just yet) and the fact we have the world's biggest Calvin & Hobbes fan in @wristwatchb Charlie, I thought this would be appropriate.

Awesome shave and report, Neal! That handle looks pretty long--does it get at all in the way, or do you just get used to it, or is it one of those things where you actually enjoy it?

    Awooooooooooo!

Awesomest. Report. Ever! Glad the war against keratin continues unabated--and mostly bloodless.

Curious. How did the body lotion work out? We've got some Witchy Woman lotion and some Coconut Lime body butter. Is it worth trying out, or just stick with the balm?

Sorry, Evan. If you are impatiently waiting for some sucker to simply jump right in and start shaving with peanut butter, you're just going to have to... wait until May ;)

I've actually used a couple of those already, btw :happy102:
