It just proves that learning about shaving techniques, supplies and software on this thread does inprove one's shave. Jeff, you never thought that you would get the shaves that you always wanted. I am very glad that you stuck with us. The transformation from just shaving with one razor and one blade and probably no brush and shave soap to where you have ended is simply marvelous. Congratulations, it is a successful testimony, Jeff!

Wow, there wasn't that many people in the store! I was the only one at the deli counter so that is my proof about the scarcity of customers at this hour. So, I basically got what I needed and was out the door lickity split. I just got home and put everything away. Now what? Well, I decided to headshave using my Shake Sharp and Cremo. Achieved a nice shave. Finished with Clubman Classic and Nivea Balm. Whew! Now I can relax.

Do you wear a mask when you go out, Joe? We haven't been out for a few days, other than our neighborhood walks, but I understand most folks are wearing them here in public places.

Sorry @brit. It ain't a 'stang and don't have no flames...

I could live with it. I'd probably have to get rid of the Vega first to raise some dough.

I don't wear any masks, gloves, etc. I know that sounds foolish, however, I have been given divine health throughout my lifetime. I do not have any medical issues. Honestly, I rarely get sick. However, these last two days I have been out and about for hours. I know acquaintances that are on ventilators and I recently found out that one is now breathing on their own. I believe that if I get infected that it will be a very mild case in Jesus' name. I pray daily for God's protection. Tomorrow, I am going to stay in because the weather is going to be so-so. That's ok because I need to straighten out my place a bit before I get cobwebs. Lol! Thanks for your concern. Are you getting food delivered through Instacart or do you make a grocery run? Praying for a hedge of protection over you and Kathy in Jesus' name!

They are nice. I have 1 paddle strop (leather & suede), but prefer the benchmount type for my style. I got a 3x11 base with a bunch of different base media on magnetic mounts from Chef Knives to Go. Great guy, I've dealt with him for years.

Thank you, Joe. We sincerely appreciate the prayers. I pray you stay healthy as well. Honestly, you're constantly on my mind because you live in one of the hot spots.

I make grocery and drug store runs as needed. We can easily go two weeks between trips. I shop at a store outside of town that doesn't get as much foot traffic, and I go early in the morning. I have a list, and I don't spend time fooling around in the store. I figure those are just reasonable ways to reduce the risk. Social distancing is just about impossible, though, when you're sharing the aisles with other shoppers. Most people here do their best to maintain distance or move past quickly. I will change clothes and shower when I get home - even if it ain't Saturday night.

Kathy is a fantastic cook, so we've been eating quite well and healthy at home. I've also managed to move closer back to my target weight by skipping all the meals out.

I will probably wear a mask on my next trip. I'm being extra cautious because of my Bride. Neither of us can afford to get sick right now. We've both spent a lot of time around very sick children and have never had a problem associated with that type of activity. My immune system is generally strong, but we know that Kathy's is not right now. We are not worried but we are being appropriately cautious, given our situation.

As far as the masks go, we didn't have the supplies to make them. I was on the fence about wearing one. Without us even asking, my sister and another friend reached and offered to make the masks for us. I figured that's God's way of telling me to wear one. Kathy's doc had already told her she needs to wear one anytime she goes out in public. The expert at Mayo that I follow (a top notch doc and a Godly man) recommends them, as long as one recognizes their limitations and knows how to properly put them on, take them off, and care for them. Being presented with all that evidence and knowing the situation we're in, I will wear one. As you can tell from knowing me, I'm not concerned about other people thinking I look or act goofy. I might just wear the flowerdy mask for starters to prove my point. :)

    Stay safe, Joe!
