  4. I ordered a new SS Hawk for much the same reason, Jeff. Well, that and I have a well-documented love of the look of OC razors.
Have you tried a heavier handle with yours?

    Thank you, Joseph!
I don't see what you're seeing but if there's a schnoz in the picture it would be mine.

  12. Awesome Ambassador shave, Jim! You'll have to bust out this exact same line-up come the 4th of July--beautiful photo. :D

  13. Wonderful photo and report, Jeff! The Hulk would have been a fantastic razor for St Paddy's day. Hopefully the SS version you have coming will give you some better shaves :D

  17. That's pretty cool, Terry! I was looking into polysorbate 20 back when I had the itch to create my own menthol additive. Later that same week, Stirling came out with Frost Drops, so... well, you know :D
  18. And here we are at that day of the week again-here's your somewhat belated FRIDAY FILES:

-I've decided that my birthday(5-1, the event that kicks off MAYhem in here)will be my transfer date from fall&winter shaves to spring&summer shaves). I've never had to go out in my winter down coat for my birthday. I'll have to make a purchase or two this month-I hope the "Stay At Home" rule won't be a problem for artisan shave companies-maybe they have relative statements on their websites.

-The space for the old town bookstore here is still vacant, no buyers. I said it before but it deserves a repeat-how about an artisan shave company for it? After viewing the new Stoylin shop, I'd say there's ample space in the old bookstore for it.

-Glad to see many posts and much interest in Chiseled Face Groomatorium. There was a lot when I first joined, then apparently not much excitement. It's baaaaack.

  20. Awesome shave and report, Dan! I tried Astras when I first started, but didn't like them. Experience has taught me that none of the blades I tried when I first started got a fair shake. I've got a couple Astras that I'll have to try out sometime. I'm betting they will work a lot better now ;)
