You've inspired me, Joseph! I haven’t shaved with my AS-D2 in some time. I’ll have to break it out in the next few days for a shave. I always use Feathers in mine. Wizamets are great blades, but nowhere near as sharp. The razor was designed around the Feather blade. Does it not work for you?

Great pic and report, Terry! Your Micromatic looks to be in great shape! Nothing like a great shave to start the day off right.

Frost Drops as such can be made quiet easily, without the use of the polysorbate.
Menthol crystals will dissolve in alcohol, alcohol is water soluble and will be a stable solution.
So long as the solution is not saturated, the menthol should stay in solution.
Take menthol crystals in a sealed container, raise the temperature above about 110 degrees fahrenheit.
I did this by running hot tap water over it, that will melt the crystals.
Next add regular drinking spirits to it.
At 100% alcohol or 200 proof you can add a 50/50 mixture of alcohol /menthol crystals.
I was using clear water 152 proof, grain alcohol, that's about 75% alcohol.
So I can't do a full 50/50 mix but I can still get quite a lot of menthol in the spirits.
Put the mixture into the fridge for a couple days, if your mixture is saturated, you will get crystals forming.
Just add a little more alcohol it the mixture, reheat shake, and return to the fridge.
Once you get a mixture that is not saturated, your good to go.
I did a 50/50 mix and had to add just a little alcohol once to get a stable solution.
You could just leave it and warm it up before you use it, but it might not mix completely.

I have some in the fridge, the cabinet, on the shelf.

As a confirmed menthol head I highly approve! Sounds like a great cooling additive. I have M-Bomb from the TSD Queen. That works well for me.

Razor: Gillette Super Slime Adjustable 84mm (V2)
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    PS: Proraso Green
    SS: MWF
    AS: Proraso Green

WoolFat Friday with my Birth year razor. So I have to eat all my words about the Astra SP. I got another great shave with it. The MWF performed great per the norm with a rich slick lather.

Followed my normal 3 pass pattern focusing on my chin and jaw at the start of my third pass. No cleanup needed post 3rd pass with a BBS finish.

I better not leave the house because I am going to touch my face today.

Also this showed up today proving that I am easily enabled by danger @wristwatchb.

Also had 60 rolls of TP show up at our house. My family of 6 uses plenty but this should last us a couple months at the very least.

It's great to see that I don't have to explain solubility curves to you. By the way, using a similar procedure, that's how rock candy is made.

Wonderful shave report and photo Jeff. Cool looking razor. I tend to prefer the regular razors over their aluminum counterparts.
