Yay... we already had ours...

Cool... I have often thought about just recording myself 1st period and then putting it a looping playback through the projector...

So I am sitting here with a dismantled 40's SS and realize that the base plate looks just like a tech (once you strip out the TTO mechanics). Sure enough, it fits a slotted tech cap well. Now, if only I have a long posted tech cap, I could make this a spindle superspeed/tech hybrid... Hmmmm.. where to get a long posted tech/NEW cap.

 

A friend of mine had a class like that, the teacher just replayed old lectures.

 

Although I joke about it, I could never do that. Even when I teach the same thing 5 times in row, class 5 is run very little like class 1. I tell my kids that I am always experimenting on them and tweaking as I go. If they only knew that I wasn't joking.

 

lol, I did that for about a week in my freshman year and then I gave up on it and started using a notebook.

 

I suck at notetaking so I hope this will be a good thing

 

well seeing that in order to try my tech/superspeed spindle razor experiment, I would have to have a NEW deluxe for parts (need a long post cap), I guess that wonky franken hybrid will have to wait. Oh well.... 40's SS back together, polished, and soaking. silo doors are straight and aligned and the TTO knob is tighter and might squeak a little, but it isn't falling out anymore. (may have to try soaking the knob end in mineral oil some...)

This is fun. Now... where is my next razor to tear down and rebuild?

Oh... forgot to mention this gripe.. While at daughter's therapy today, I get called back into the billing area. Evidently, there are 6 months of bills that weren't charged correctly where we need to pay an additional $25 per weekly visit.:shocked003 bye bye iKon, time to cancel that order.

 

It was great. I got my shave-ready in the mail today. I'm preparing for shave #1.

good luck with it, I just found that much technology in a class room was not only distracting to me but to other people as well as a bit clumsy. If it works for you then more power to you ^^. I guess I'm a bit spoiled though because all the lecture slides and most voice/video recordings of lectures are online at UB.

Well just out of the bath getting ready for work so no time to chat. I did however get in a bonus shave today.... Shaved early enough thing morning that I had enough stubble to break out the long teethed NEW. WOOHOO .


Might get to post some later at work depends on how busy it is.

I agree with the fuzzy wuzzy buzzy comuzzy (), they're mistake, they should give you a reasonable payback schedule.

oh, and ya'll've got my RAD kicking at level 11 with all this talk of iKon razors...is his site still up? he's kinda minimalized his info since that "spat" went down last week.
hope he's not neglecting us due to someone's rant

You can see them on Ebay.. all stainless steel looks like.. not bad looking... there was a spat that I missed getting into.. sheesh..::duel

With the price increases on the iKon, I could just as easily get a goodfella or GASP a merkur adjustable... I will let time tell with what everyone else things of those and just put an order in another time.

Yes, I have arangements made for payment on the bill, but still fell wrong plopping that much down on something I don't really need. But then again, as typical, I can't get myself to spend a lot on one thing so I spend more on a lot of little things...
