Stunning razor, Gary. Love those NI and New Deluxe handles. Such classic Art Deco styling. Good morning, sir.

That's right Tim, the absolute worst comment I can give is "Partially Excellent". :)

Yikes! That is a grim looking slice--you were wise to take it easy on that one

    Nice shave and pic, Jeff.
It shaves too close? Not much of a negative!

Great shave, Angelo. I wish I’d known about the switchback before I bought my Alpha Shaving brush. Same brush, just a lot less expensive. I have four ferrules for my Alpha. Enjoy it!

Thanks, Clint. I don’t pull the bowl out very often anymore. I’ve transitioned to face lathering 98% of the time.

Thanks, Jason! Shaving every other day would throw me off my game. We old retired farts don’t like to mess with the structure in our lives! :rolleyes005:

Ooops! I usually avoid bringing up gender with babies (almost but not quite as assiduously as avoiding asking how far along a woman is when I think she is pregnant--watched my dad do that once when I was a kid *shudders*) :ashamed001:

Lovely pic and razor, Gary! The Rex uses the same two piece design. Matt Pisarcik, being a Gillette collector had a lot of different designs to work with. Looks like he picked the Belmont. Do any other Gillettes use this design?

Congratulations, Andrew! We had three boys and a girl. Boys definitely keep you on your toes when they’re young, although they slow down as teenagers. Just the opposite with girls, or at least my children, now all grown with kids of their own. Enjoy them at this age! They grow up fast.

    Good morning guys!
    It's Special Saturday!
Yes, it truly is special Saturday because ot is the day that I pick what I consider special gear.

    Straight Razor Shave #154
Boker King Cutter 5/8 Round Pt
    Jayaruh Silvertip Badger Brush #386
    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Nivea Balm
It really is a Special Saturday for me because it has been 8 days since my last straight razor shave since my pinky accident. It truly felt good to be straight shaving once again. Anyway, I chose the JR 386 because it has a cross on the bottom and it is Resurrection Sunday tomorrow so it is Special to me. Stirling Spice is special because of the alliterative title and I only use it on special occasions like today. Ok, so those are the reasons for today's special picks. Now, let me get on with the report. The JR #386 really does an awesome job making beautiful creamy lathers. Stirling Spice really is a wonderful scent that puts me in a nice mood. The King Cutter gave me an IBSS + without any errors using 2.5 passes. on a 41 hr stubble. Well, I am glad I didn't cut myself anywhere on my body so it's definitely a win! However, the next time I use this razor, I will have to refresh it using my Crox pasted strop. Applied the Spice aftershave and Nivea balm to end this close, comfortable shave. Have a Special Saturday guys! 20200410_190730.jpg 20200410_190730.jpg
