Charlie, that's a fantastic shavette shave! The fool's pass is the most dangerous maneuver in straight shaving. It also can be wonky even with a safety because that area is quite sensitive. You can keep the razor stationary and move your head downward or keep the face stationary and move the razor upward. Whatever works for you is the right choice. I prefer to move the blade and keep my face motonless. I position my fingers closer to the edge of the heel because it gives me more precise control. On my off hand, I stretch that area down as the blade goes towards the nose. I do this with my mouth somehat open so I have enough space for the fingers without interfering with the beginning of the upward stroke. Yes, opening the mouth stretches the moustache area, but I find placing my fingers to aid in the stretching prevents me from getting cut. I positive you will find your best way to do it.

You’re back here for like an hour and you’re already throwing CT suggestions around:rofl:... it is good to hear from you, though, Randy.

Fantastic shave, Charlie! Near BBS with 2 passes is an amazing run; heck, I'd shavestalk that ;)

The doughnut of death--it's a beautiful thing, sir!

Yeah, I'm an easy mark ;)

I must have misread (or misremembered) a post a month or two ago--thought there was talk of a girl coming :ashamed001:

Congrats on another great focus shave, Charlie! Yup, you’ve got that soap on the ropes.

I was actually hoping it would be a girl, until Andrew announced it was going to be another boy. We have Andrew, his wife, and the Three Musketeers :).

That is far better than a Mickie D's happy meal............. unless you are still gotta have a prize.

I gotta go for that some time.

I still remember Dad buying us McDonald's burgers for 15¢.

Some places get 40¢ just for the cheese.

Thanks Joe. I appreciate the encouragement and the coaching on the fool's pass. I will try what you have suggested. Thanks.
Thanks Tim. It's a slow and focused two-passer, for sure. I don't set any speed records. I stop quite often to examine my work, re-lather, dry off my fingers, and re-apply alum to my fingertips. I almost get lost in the process. It's blast. I really appreciate you riding along with me.
Thanks Jason. The Eufros performs wonderfully, but the scent could be better. I'm ready to move on, but I've still got a few more shaves left.
    Thanks Clint!
    Thanks Evan!

Happy Easter to you all! He is Risen!

The Mayo Clinic dropped 28 appointments on our calendar for late May extending into early June (a period of nearly two weeks), and that is just the evaluation to determine physical readiness for the transplant. I reviewed the details and instructions, and I have a list of clarifying questions. I plan to call first thing on Monday to get some answers. Scheduling and logistics is my thing, and I take it seriously...unlike most of my posts here. ;)

One of the recurring instructions is not to wear any scented products. We'll spend a lot of time with other transplant patients, and apparently this is a real issue. As a result, the colognes and aftershaves won't make the trip with us. I should be able to get by with my normal soaps, though. I don't find soaps scents to linger, and I can always shower after my shave. If needed, I'll order an unscented soap or cream. We'll have some early mornings, so I plan to take one of my birth year adjustable razors and one of my finely crafted @jtspartan brushes with a synthetic knot. My shaves are gonna be top notch, but I will need a haircut big time by then. I looked at the Flowbee website last night. If I get one, you guys will be the last to know. :)
