26 yrs ago, I was in Bloomington, Indiana and stopped at a Waffle House on my to Indianapolis. I had a NY attitude when my breakfast didn't come out after 25 minutes. It was my first and only time at a Waffle House. In my neck of the woods, we have International House of Pancakes aka IHOP.

We also have IHOP, and they are still operating. Carry out and delivery only, of course. I think Waffle House's main problem with the current situation is they have no dedicated carry-out customer base. Nobody thinks of them as being a "to-go" place. They put up signs and everything, but I don't think it was a successful pivot for them. Some it works for, others it doesn't.

When it comes to service in a Waffle House that will depend on the location, time of day, and number of drunks occupying booths creating problems. I've had some good times in Waffle Houses, and the Cartel even had a high level summit in one here in O'Fallon, Missouri a couple of years back.

Indeed. Cypress is associated with swamps and coastal plains of the actual USA (Deep South States)

I live at the extreme northern end of Alabama. Tennessee is only 40 min car trip north. Of course, we try to never head north.

    :)

The terrain is fertile river valleys and watersheds. The hills are foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. They rise 500 to 600 feet above the homes and farms along the Elk River. The Elk is a tributary to the Tennessee River which feeds the mighry Mississippi River.

It's already green and warm. The hardwoods are so dense on the hillsides that only Marines and SF could make it through, and most others stick to centuries old trails. .

I must say, the Fatip's smoothness is unquestionable, but the longevity of the shave is not on a par with the R41. Serious stubble on the go this morning... That usually doesn't happen til the afternoon with the R41!

I once heard that Waffle House was like 'a gas station restroom that serves breakfast'.

It is a joke that mind finds difficult tho purge.

Not much to go on there. Is this boycotting owl social distancing or simply awkward and shy?

Ah, "Boycotting Owl" is probably good enough. @Queen of Blades?

I wonder if should be 'antisocial distancing'... I don't really find social distancing hard because I'm not a people person

    Good morning!

Not my best shave to start the day. Three passes with touch up. The alum was hot on my neck, probably due to the several weepers.

The NO75 is such a smooth razor I got cocky. I chased the baby on my neck. I know better than to go from back to front across the hollows. The hair grows flat and the skin is bumpy. I did it anyway and paid the price. Won't happen tomorrow.

    Have a great day! [IMG]
