sure enough... oscar meyer fried bacon is on the national menu. Closest Hardees is on the side of the interstate where 80-90-and 94 merge (along with some state highways). There is a truckstop at that junction, but a hassle to go to. The next convenient location is about 65 miles away. Huh... guess I won't be trying that anytime soon.


Now why do I also want some vanilla and grilled cheese as well.

Argh! Why do you people do this to me?

I was thinking the same exact thing!

Only problem is, I don't know of any Hardees within any decent driving range of me...time to stretch the Google-Fu....

huh...I thought for sure there'd be one closer to me than Dallas - 3 hours away...
there used to be one in town where I went to college, I frequented there alot
but when we went up a few weeks ago for my wife to take her GRE, it was closed

wait, I just noticed one merely 1.5 hours away

 

Well that is like just next door for you.

I grew up and went to college in towns with multiple Hardees. I never went much, but they were always there as an option. Then once my wife wanted something from Hardees after we had moved here and it dawned on us.... they just don't exist here.

 

yeup....that's about the way of it.

Fortunately, WhatABurger is close enough, with two being in Texarkana.

As for Hardees, I have two options:
1 - next 'dominoes camp' in Arkansas with in-law family, stopping at the one 1.5 hours away for supper
2 - next time we go to Alabama, I'm getting my fill - there are quite a few along my path in Mississippi and Bama (Roll Tide!)

I'm kidding, my wife's not a big fan either (and she had so much potential!)
but, hopefully, Dom, they'll bring back their pumpkin pies for fall!

 

okay, so I decided to try a new shark chrome last night instead of first finishing the stainless. I transferred the stainless to another razor (Krona) for later use.
so far, I like the chrome better. could be my face felt more like a shave last night than the night before. could be the different soap. could be the blade.
could be the day of the week. who knows.

oh, wait, oops....I'm talking shaving related stuffs in HYD :ashamed001

 

Jim did you look in Louisiana? I think there used to be a hardees in vivian... there might be something close to shreveport.

 

yeah, i was quite surprised to not see at least one in Shreveport.
and I think you're right, I believe there used to be one in Vivian.
But I'm rather shocked there's not one in Shreveport.
Well, according to Google Maps anyway......

EDIT: wow, according to this there are NONE in Texas!
EDIT Episode "B": what I thought were two in Dallas area, according to Google, was in fact not restaurants, but people named "Hardee"
