Good morning everyone, hope you avoided the horrible weather.
Same set up as yesterday's, almost.
Used a synthetic brush and a Feather Super Pro blade.
I love the super pro blade in my aluminium Razororock Blackhawks.
The V1, shown here, is a solid handle, the V2 has a hollow handle so you can load some weight in it.
Unscrew the bottom and load er up.
Me, I like them just the way they are, light and efficient.

Better than yesterday's shave by a just a bit.
Need to get it out more often.
2 passes head and face, no issues.
Very close, clean, ready for the day.

    Be safe
    Be well

    ENJOY!

    Mike's Vetiver~~Parker~~Dovo~~Guerlain
Cold and blustery day in the heartland. Something earthy and warm was needed.
The choice was my favorite and, by the way, only remaining vetiver in my shave den: Mike's.
For those who really go back, you might recall that vetiver used to be my obsession.
Soaps, incense, aftershaves, candles...you get the picture.
I have moved on, but Mike's still is my favorite.
If you all didn't know what a tub of Mike's soap cost, you might guess a lot more by looking at the lather.
    Observe:

    Right? Stupendous, slick and sumptuous.
The inexpensive Parker really proved that you don't have to spend $200+ dollars
to get a badger brush that is soft and can whip up a lather.
The Dovo 6/8 was my razor du jour and while it's a good razor, it only proved to be
    satisfactory today.
The edge mos def© needs some attention and I have been uber-lazy when it comes to
    anything more than stropping.
I have some issues negotiating around my chin with this razor. Weird.
After my usual three passes, I did end up with a DFS shave and quite frankly,
that's good enough for government work.
The Vetiver de Guerlain is a terrific juice. I will miss it when it's expired.

That's a fine shave James! 90% of the time, it's our technique anYd not the razor that gives us the good or not so good result.

    My internet is slow here.
    Been that way for weeks.
Trying to reply seems especially difficult.

It appears that the internet is social distancing from your devices! :D

I'm not sure but.... I've been doing the social distancing since I moved out here.
    20 years ago, or so.
Only go to town when I have to.
So all of this stuff is not hurting me here at all.
Some of the poor city folks have to live in a small box.
Me, I can go outside and never meet another person for days.
Now.... it's been weeks since anyone has been around, other than the mailman.
We are pretty well distancing here year round.
    well.......

I'd say my internet connection is slow......
But that would be giving it way to much credit.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - PS Tube 2.0, ASB Star Jelly, Shave Soap/Aftershave & Cologne - Cavendish
    Jason's BRM w/TGN 28mm Silvertip
    J3Custom 8/8 Kamisori

It's tobacco vanilla week for me. Started off with PAA's Cavendish.....ever stuffed your nose into fresh pouch of cherry pipe tobacco?....then you'll know this one. Cavendish is an awesome duplicate of cherry vanilla tobacco blend, nearly a twin to Stirling's Haverford, although PAA's version is slightly darker & longer lasting for my nose.

Lathering was done with @jtspartan's Blue Resin Maple handle fitted with a TGN 28mm behemoth Silvertip knot....tub swirled for ~20 seconds, then bowl lathered to goopy yogurty peaky slickness. Fun lather slinging face application with both skin swirling and face painting. Used a J3Customs kamisori, a half hollow beast that gives barely a whisper of audible 'muted metal scrubbing' feedback as it shaves. I often catch myself holding kamisori razors quite different than straights with scales. My grip on kamisoris unconsciously creeps to holding between the shoulder/spine transition, rather than holding in the tang area. I somehow 'worked it out' to better control blade angle. Not sure how/when this happened, but it works for my world. 2 passes to a near BBS all over, just missed the baby from the usual DFS+ on the lower right neck/jawline nemesis. Quick finish with PAA's ASB called Star Jelly, and then their matching Cavendish AS&C.

Great shave and aroma for starting off another week.

Hope everyone has a Magnificent Monday!
