My 1946 EFBT is up tomorrow! This one was the razor my wife's grandfather used during his time in the British Army. He obviously bought it new back in the day!

    So it would seem!
I've been wondering if I could do 30 days to BBS with a Tech. 2.5 passes, no touching up to chase the baby. How good a shave could I get?!

very cool.the search for the flat bottom techs started my gillette obsession.my grandad was RAF in WW2.he was a gillette man until his passing in the early 2000s..

It sounds like a very good idea, but I would suggest using the sharpest blade in your arsenal.

That's a cool reason to be in to vintage Gillette razors! The man obviously had good taste!

I've got a tuck of Feathers and a tuck of Astra SP knocking about. They're both sharp blades! I prefer the Astras for their price point!

when i started collecting brit techs i did just that here,30 day tech focus.i mostly used my heavier fluted tech handle and gsb blades if i remember correctly, maybe astra greens as well.but with practice i was getting near bbs (my normal work shave) with them in 2+ passes.the "+" pass is the buffing/pick up pass..the weight of the handle helped with pressure issues.let the razor do the work, and yes, sharp blades..:).definitely improved my shaves..great shave with a tech = great shave with most any gillette..

if you are interested in a 30 day tech focus i will do one with you.i enjoy using them.my focus would include using the different early techs as i have a bunch and i get bored easily..they all shave the same when one rides the cap..
