    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 27

The Sierra Romeo X-ray gobbled up three days of growth in two passes and a few strategic touch-ups. Gone. Baby. Gone. I'm getting my chin smooth in fewer (more productive) strokes, and I'm starting to attempt The Fool's Pass (aptly named for a guy like me) on my upper lip. I'm near BBS and boo-boo free over the expanse of my rugged mug. At 10X, I can see a few bits on my chin, and I can feel a little roughness on my lower neck. I could have gotten everything with another pass, but I decided to leave it for another day.

JR #394 made its long-awaited debut, and it performs even better than it looks. The Maggard SHD two-bander has great backbone, yet feels soft. It produced so much lather that my neighbors called the Fire Department. It's mos def a Top Knot contender in my humble fleet. Additionally, the handle has a nice weight due to the medallion in the base, and it feels really good in hand. The handle, along with the 26mm knot, is just about the perfect size for me. IMO, it's easily the world's finest @Jayaruh brush. And it's mine. :)

I returned to unrefined shea butter and almond oil in my after care routine. After using Stirling unscented body lotion for the past few days, I judge it to be a fine alternative (excellent moisturizer, skin friendly, non-greasy, and no detectable scent) and worthy for inclusion in my Minnesota travel kit.

Skin stretching for me isn't just using my off hand. Lifting and turning my head, making shaving faces. Really anything that'll tighten and flatten my skin.
    Good luck!
