Before marriage; the way my mom did it. After marriage; the way my wife does it. BTW - same goes for folding the bath towels.
Agreed...unless I'm having a BLT or Reuben, which I always stack Dagwood fashion, then it hasta be (a).
Cut it into quarters, long way. Dip it in melted butter with galic, spiced olive oil or maybe maple syrup (the good stuff), rhubarb sauce, any goodness that treats the palette well. Kids love it! So do I! tp
You got it! You can heat peanut butter up till it's warm, say half a cup. Stir in a little peanut oil, drop by drop till it's a sauce. Dipping goodness. Or Warm peanut butter is the way to go. Put it in a baggie with a tiny corner cut off, applying like cake icing. Won't molest the bread that way. Mmmmmmm.... This works for fresh banna slices too, more Mmmm, Mmmm goodness. tp
The better home will always have a pair of precision engineered German toastschere (toast scissors) for reliably precise slicing every time. quite honestly, you can bake fantastic bread without much effort at all. I gave my bread machine away a few years ago and don't miss it in the least.
Problem is, I have to stay away from all wheat, it's what causes my immune system to attack my thyroid.
Gluten is what makes bread...bread. Flat GF crackers I eat but trying to wrap my mind around bread that does not have gluten as that comes from wheat (I think).
