Beautiful photo, Clint--really like that brush (looks great with the General). Hope things slow down for you soon--or that you at least get a weekend off to unwind a bit
I must confess. I have cheated. Cheated on the Arko. Really, Arko, it's not you. It's me. There's just too much of the mundane in my life right now. I needed some variation in my quarantined life. So, I took a three day hiatus. I'm making a point to shave every day even if I don't go out to keep a routine and try not to look slovenly to the poor souls stuck in this house with me. Palmolive stick got a day. Speick cream got a day. La Toja got a day. All three were lovely. And today, I came back to Arko, which also gave a lovely shave (as always). I am still holding onto shavettes for the month. This week I've been alternating between my Weck Sextoblade and my Classic Samurai. No issues with either. Just like riding a bike. Muscle memory and survival instincts kicked right in. I hope everyone is well. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Before I even started reading, I looked at that first photo and thought, "Is that a near wedge?" Guess so Man, that thing is a behemoth! I think we got one as a wedding gift--but we just called it a cleaver.
You're right, Neal. Dome shavers don't need keys because they have no locks. But I finally realized why you all shave your domes. The line at the barber shop wrapped around the building the last time I was there. Two guys in front of me got in a fight, the cops showed up, and things went downhill from there. I went home hungry, thirsty and disappointed...still needing a haircut. Worst Barber Queue ever.
Great to see you again Chris! Ot has been kinda mundane this month here too. Now I know what cabin fever is. Take care and keep up the great shaves . Uh huh. Yup. Oh boy! That was sure an interesting outing Charlie. Maybe with some practice ( and your wife's guidance ) you can use longer combs for the top part and not mess it up . Can always #2 the sides if they grow fast like mine does . If all else fails just shave it all off then make a sandwich. You will look good and be fed. Maybe thats what caused the 2 guys to fight. I always carry a Snickers bar to avoid these problems. Good evening Gary! Seger still sounds good after all these years . BTO just cant be beat. Fred Turner is a car lover too btw .Being the youngest I got to hear a variety of music growing up from my siblings. Then on Saturdays it was flip records and get beer for my Dad while we enjoyed his style of music.
I hope you don't mind me blowing my own horn, but I have a rather extensive knowledge of set-downs, slices, nicks, weepers, and other assorted boo boos. They say the Inuit people had 50 words for snow. Well I've got 150 words for shave related injuries--so I'm kind of a big deal.
I can't get over how cool that consul is, and was very impressed at the apple blossom lather yesterday--great shave and report, Neal!
Still looking for a tag team partner. I also like your literary skills so if we dont win in Luchera , we could always defeat our opponents with words . The pen is mightier than the sword....but not the shavette it seems .
