awesome shave and pics Joseph.probably cut down on machining expenses using a bigger mill bit/less cuts.stainless is hard on mill bits and they are expensive..

Is yours a Colgate tube? I got a Colgate shave stick tube from Fuzzy a few years ago. I keep Palmolive in it, too, as it is my only ongoing stick. The fact that Palmolive and Colgate are the same company is a nice touch as well, I guess.

Good morning, sir. Congrats on another stunning Tech and another fantastic photo, Gary. Is that yet another sunny day in Vancouver? That must be some kind of record for April...

Very nice, Charlie. Are you in Minnesota yet? If so, I trust things have started out well.

Thank you, Gentlemen. I can't imagine it being much else besides the insufficient soaking. I'll use this brush in a few days to try and confirm that.

    Well thanks Jason!
I have a few near the "haven't ever seen before" criteria.
The more misfit, the more I like them.
Collection? Well I'd call it a flock of funny razors.

    Thanks Blair!
What is the use of having a nifty little thing and not be able to use it.
    That's just not my style.

    Thanks Gary!
You got your Gillettes, and a fine collection too!
I got my misfits and one hit wonders.
I probably have one of the strangest bunch of blade holders. Not being into it more than a couple years, think I found my niche.

Thanks guys. I've surprised myself with the last few shaves. They have been really nice and almost error-free. I think it helps when I shave every second or third day. I let my self down a little bit today. I found myself hurrying the third pass (which I didn't need) and losing focus a time or two. The Fool's Pass under my nose is anything but fool-proof. I need to do a couple of good reduction passes (N to S, and side-to-side) before I attempt it. Otherwise, the blade catches on the stubble. I pushed through the stubble a little too forcefully today, and the blade just barely caught my nose. It is hardly enough to see, but I know it's there.
Thanks Tim. If I could take back today's third pass, I would. I went into over-shave territory, got in a hurry, and started making mistakes. Nothing major, but I'm disappointed anytime I see red dots. I look forward to seeing your SOTD post. You've zoomed way past me, as I'm skipping days between shaves. You'll attain Jedi Master status and be on to your next focus before I reach 100 shaves. As Abraham Lincoln said, "I walk slowly, but I never walk backward.”
Thank Jason. We leave for Minnesota in late May. We have 28 appointments over a period of almost two weeks for Mrs. Danger to complete her pre-transplant evaluation. Assuming we don't hit any roadblocks - we don't expect any - she'll then have a stem cell collection, high-dose chemo and finally the transplant. It's all done on an outpatient basis unless she develops an infection.

We're staying just a few blocks from the hospital, and a nurse visits the house each morning to check everyone's oil while they're still in their PJs. At that point, we hang tight and enjoy the Minnesota summer for a few weeks while her immune system rebounds. As she starts feeling good, we hope to spend time outside taking walks. My job will be to care for Kathy, keep our living space clean, and share in the chores around the house. Something tells me that we'll make some lifelong friends while we're there and that I'll convert someone to traditional wet shaving. I follow the Transplant House on FB, and there always seems to be something going on there. I plan to leave Charlie Danger footprints all over the place. ;)

Great shave, Jason! I do remember reading somewhere that one should never soak the entirety of the bristles on a boar brush, only the tip. That’s what I do with my Boars. I don’t ever remember losing boar bristles. Badger’s a different story!

Great pic, Jim! Wow! You do own an example of every modern artisan razor! Is that the one made with the 1740? SS. HARDEST STEEL IN THE UNIVERSE? Lol

I missed out on the 17-4 when it was released a couple of years ago. I hemmed and hawed too long and they sold out while I was talking myself into ordering one

Great shave, Maestro! I’m a big RAZOROCK fan boy. I own the SS Lupo and the Hawk in SS and aluminum. I’ve been seriously considering the GC, but I currently have so many great razors that I don’t shave with that I didn’t feel adding another would be useful. I’ve pretty much burned out my RAD. Thanks for the review.
