Great looking combo, Jim. The Paradigm is an absolute stunner. Is the Petrol Head knot the same as a Trafalgar? Love the Fine as well, but cannot stand those new, small, flimsy tubs.

Interesting, James. How many days on the Feather? They aren’t my go to, but are a quality blade for sure.

Happy saturday... Just now applied for another local publix a few miles further from the one I applied at. Got better hopes for this one compared to the other. They seemed alot more interested in hiring vs the other location when I called. Hoping to expect a call from the manager soon. Got my fingers crossed. No shaves for today. Made sure to moisturize my face, because I've noticed sometimes repetitive shaving can really strip your face of it's natural oils.

    Thank you, Jason.
I think it is the same knot but the Trafalgar is set deeper so it feels stiffer.
I used the Fine puck like a shave stick this morning. Worked great! Plenty of lather for three passes.

I used carts when I was younger for facial shaves. There wasn't any internet so I didn't know how to obtain safety razors and straights were a definite no-no at that time. When I decided to go sly 12 years ago, I started with carts and then the gimmicky Head blade. The Head Blade was great, but the blades would clog up like carts and to replace them was expensive. Finally, I found a VDH razor and blade combo at Target that was great for headshaving and it also primed me for wet shaving years later. In fact, I only started wetshaving in July/Aug 2018. For some reason, I tried shavette shaving in Oct of 2018. Mind you, I still.wasn't even thinking about traditional straights. However, the success I had with my first 16 shavette shaves that included a headshave on the 16th shavette shave convinced me to try straights starting in Nov. 2018. When I joined 30DC right before Christmas 2018, I had close to 50 open blade shaves. I know that I have repeated this, but it is important for some of the new guys to know that their shave journey can take you to places you never dreamed possible. So, for each and evey 30DC member, enjoy your shave journey because you never know whete you will land in Shaveville.

Wow. That is a tough call. In that light I might pick the H&S.

I like Kensurf's video. Heck, I like PaulHFilms, KevyShaves, IAMCDB(Chris Bailey formally known as Teleshavangelist)), Dr.Matt, and Eric of Adventures of Wetshaving.

I am glad that I always kept a record of the number of straight shaves and the number of shavette shaves. Right now, I am at 312 open blade shaves (158 straight and 154 shavette).

The cop yelled at me to pull over and at the time I didn't know what I did wrong. So, I knew before he came to my car that he wasn't going to let me slide know matter what I had to say. Hey, he was doing his job and I was fine with it. Yes, it was a major roadway and there wasn't any traffic at the time I made an illegal left turn onto the highway. What really irked me was a few days later a driver in front of me did the same thing at the same intersection and no cop in sight. C'est la vie!

This site sometimes gets wonky like a Gold Dollar straight razor.

Utah is up to 25 deaths as of this morning. 3 long term care facilities have had outbreaks and 1/3 to 1/2 have come from those facilities. The state still announces every death in the daily briefing giving age bracket and health prior to infection. A little morbid but it's a sign we're doing pretty well.

The state has lowered testing requirements and anyone with a cough, fever, or shortness of breath (only need one symptom) can be tested, but even then requests for tests are way down. The state is starting to use idle testing capacity to randomly screen asymptomatic people to gauge risk.

However, I wouldn't drive to Utah. The state is concerned low infection rates will attract people fleeing hotspots. I'm pretty sure out-of-state license plates will be singled out by a very bored highway patrol.

Very nice combos, Evan. Personally, I found the need for a preshave product to disappear from my routine. Did you try the stick without it?

I’ve heard that Brisk Spice is a very good match to the Shulton original. Your thoughts, Angelo?
