Nothing short of a fabulous shave with the big Kropp. So smooth, so sharp, so close. Hardly any touch up needed. Oh, and the lavender is quite nice, too. :happy036:

Pre- Liquid Neutrogena & warm water face wash
    Razor- Merkur 34c
    Blade- Lord SS (#1)
    Soap- Dr Jon's Runaway
Brush- Yaqi Mysterious Space 26 mm tuxedo fan knot synthetic
    Bowl- Captain's Choice
    Post- Thayer's WH
    AS- Nivea balm

I might be in the minority, but I didn't really like the synthetic on my first use. It's a thirsty beast, and I'm used to my Omega silvertip which holds water like a bucket.

I even did a practice run with another soap after my shave, because I just didn't build a good lather for the actual shave itself. I'll see how it goes. Many people seem to love synthetics. I'll have to keep an eye out for those who have not gone down the synthetic rabbit hole.

    Arko Adjustable April

    April 20
    Razor - Soviet Ideal
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - 30Day LE w/ Tuxedo by @jtspartan
    Post - Alum

What a great sunny day, well mostly anyway, and a day without humping food all over the place. I very nearly feel refreshed! I definitely feel refreshed on the shave front as the Ideal and Voskhod turned in a command performance. With this razor it's really all about finding that sweet spot on the cap and holding it. To be honest, I feel the same about the Gillette Super Adjustable, which is what this razor is based on. With the Toggle, Fatboy and Slim, it's an automatic angle for me. With the SA, I have to play with it a bit to find it. Same goes for the Soviet Ideal when compared to the Consul and the American adjustables.

Arko with the 30Day LE brush was over the top great and I did three passes with no alum noise and a BBS finish. Makes me look forward to hitting the mean streets again tomorrow. Have a great Tuesday!

A comfortable and efficient Ikon X3 shave tonight with bountiful lather thanks to my new Simpson Trafalgar T3's maiden voyage. The Fat was indeed good tonight. Happy shaves all.
