    I think she is looking for the easiest, lest learning curve option. And she's scared of germs. So, if vintage pens don't have germs, she's fine.

    I have a custom ballpoint pen I use most of the time, and no one would dare walk off with. ::kar

    Papermates are for the "this-is-going-to-disappear-any-second-now" situations.

    I can't write with papermate pens, never have been able to.
    I like the G2s mainly, but have some other pens for "specialty" situations - for example, I like a particular Pilot pen for balancing the checkbook and writing in the register, because it's a fine-point pen that writes very well, but I can't remember which it is.
    anyhoo, probably about to go to bed, and probably another hiatus
