    April 22
    Razor - 1962 (H2) Gillette Slim
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - @Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Hope you all had a great Wednesday! Mine was pretty doggone relaxing! We spent a few hours out in the woods today hiking around and just enjoying a very nice day, if a bit cloudy. Had steak sandwiches for lunch and a nice big salad for dinner. And, of course, I finished it all off with a great shave.

Back to the American adjustables, specifically the Gillette Slim. Sharp Star for the blade and the JR46 with Arko for the great lather. As always, this razor was set on "9", or "wide open" as we like to say. Three passes of smoothness for the BBS finish and no problems at all. Great end to a great day! Enjoy Thursday everyone.

Did my usual WTG, XTG, ATG, ATG/clean up passes, but on the last one wasn't gonna buff that much being this razor as aggressive as it is.

Didn't feell that much stubble other than on the moustache area where I definetly could not do a proper ATG pass with this blade being dull. Being that the blade came to the end on its 3rd week, it amazes me that there was no tugging or nicking but wasn't sharp to the point that wasn't efficient enough. Well, guess need to revisit the last 2 razors with a fresh blade, perhaps a Feather.

Well, no nicks, cut, creepers, weepers and almost no feedback from the alum block and that is to say soemthing being that on the last 2 days had more and used mild razors. No special ointment to apeace any irritation this time.

The lather wasn't the best either, but my experience with boars isn't much and synthetics obviously do a better job at it.

Razor, Muhle R41 head on an Ikon bulldog handle
Blade, Kroger brand, 18th and final use I think
    Brush, VDH boar
    Soap, LPL Cedre-Patchouli
Aftershave, Maggards' alum block, Thayer's witchhazel, Nivea AS Balm Sensitive skin
    EDT, Lauder Intuition[IMG]

    Wednesday April 22nd SOTN

A new day and a new razor to break in! Not a perfect shave, but pretty darn good for sure. It was definitely the best Hawk shave that I've ever had. I don't have a good track record with AC style razors (the Enoch is a pleasant outlier ) and I wasn't sure if I should get the aggressive or the OC plate instead . I'll have to feel it out for a few more shaves to know for sure if it'll take care of my trouble spots efficiently, but I'm liking what I see so far. I for one like the change in the design with the studs - I had no problem loading a blade. Happy shaves all.
