Glad you’re enjoying the Hawk, Jason! It really is a great shaver! I’m intrigued by the open comb. Still not sure that I want it. The standard SB already does so well for me! We’ll see!

April 22nd: Same as above, but used the Gillette Slim Adjustable w/GSB, and Simpson Trafalgar T3 synthetic. BBS result.

Jason's BRM....so comfortable in hand, made a wonderful thick yogurt of a lather today, the TGN knot awesome at releasing the goods for either face or bowl lathering. Pulled out another neglected straight, the Hüsgen and Ern 'High Class'. This 'NOS' razor is a full hollow, sings as it's stropped or when in use. Today's image doesn't do it justice, the blade's mirror polish, etching and gold plating is in incredible condition for it's age. A couple water spots, but doesn't detract at all. 2.5 passes, the half pass is lower right neck/jawline buffing & touch up. DFS+ with no issues to report. Finished with matching Wholly Kaw's La Fougère Parfaite, which is a clone/tribute to Brut by Fabergé. It's an awesome aroma, long lasting, but to my nose, it's closer to the Idelle Lab's reformulated version of Brut (the current version in the plastic bottle).

good morning gents, in honor of Joseph's @Primotenore new #44 shave i brought out mine.these are the standard issue brit flat bottom techs with the upscale case-in comparison to the red/white or blue/white plastic ones.awesome heavily plated,well built,efficient and simple shavers made to deliver the goods for a long time.
loaded the derby,lathered the jeeves and got a fine near bbs for the effort..nothing more needed.
