  1. Lovely shave pic and report, Joseph! Is that an Omega Boar?

  2. Really like your photography, Evan! The Brush and Rex compliment each other. You are a rough customer! Wow, a Feather in an OT! Ikm not surprised you experienced some irritation. Great shave report!

  3. I've been a lousy 30DCer the past few days. Such is life. Shavette Fu style again:

Awesome outdoor shot as always, Clint. The scent sounds interesting. I know you're a vetiver fan, so the base is definitely a good start!
Ya...I have an extra. Ordered 2. I'm thinking the next one I will set very shallowly to maximize the loft. It isn't high enough lofted to get super floppy, I don't think.
Congrats on the V3! I do like the OC look, I must be honest.
Great advice on the 'aged' Reserve soaps, I do the exact same thing. Happy 'Grizzly Bay Friday', Jim!
Razor sounds great, Jeff! I've got the Iced Pineapple on the go as a Shampoo bar these days. I'm kind of 'meh' on the scent, but I know there are lots of fans.
Good afternoon, sir. Quite frankly, you are becoming the master of the Blues shots. Like I said a few weeks ago, our own Robert Johnson.
I don't have a US version, Joseph, but I will say that the prewar and postwar Canadians shave right about the same to me, even though the prewar is purported to have a slightly larger blade gap.
    Love those containers, Myles. Congrats!
Congrats, Gary. I take it you found that juice in Canada. Ebay? Etsy?
  4. Thanks, Gary!

  6. Thanks, Jason! SWMBO seems less sensitive to fruit-based scents. So it’s a definite goto, and the fact that it’s a Glacial is just icing on the cake.

  7. Thank you, Gentlemen. I am happy with the V3, that's for sure.

  8. I'm not overly concerned about eight year old specs. Most of us have and use vintage DE's with great success and they are the basis to today's modern offerings.

I'm on the Wolfman waiting list too. It'll be a long time before I see that one.
    Nice, Evan!

  14. Razor: Fatip Grande
    Blade: Silver Star
    Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo
Soap: Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe
After Shave: Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe

Another fantastic 2.5 passes with this wonderful little razor! The Silver Star blades are absolutely brilliant! Really sharp, yet very smooth!

The shaving cream has a nice silky sheen to it in the tub and was very slick feeling as I put a small blob in my bowl. It is a very thirsty soap and makes loads of slick protective lather, though I do think I could use less product and more water for even slicker results (you'll know why I think this by the end of the post).

The after shave is (as described) a gel. I only used a little, but it went a long way! I wasn't prepared for the burn that accompanied it, but it subsided very quickly and left my face feeling smooth and refreshed. A lovely end to the shave... Oh and SWMBO loves the smell of the products too!

Okay... So how do I know my lather could do with being a bit slicker? Well... When I performed my N-S pass with my STRAIGHT RAZOR I felt like it didn't have as much glide as it could have had!

P.S. I did a sort of ear to chin stroke with the straight just to see what would happen. The stubble vanished. Far more efficient than a safety razor lol!

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves gentlemen!
  15. Thanks, Jason!
It is Grizzly Bay Friday. The drop is just over an hour away. May just do some window shopping.
