Awesome shave and report, Evan! :D

The sour voice. I think that's perhaps the greatest description of the SWMBO scent veto ever :happy102:

I've hovered over Tabac a few times, but listening to folks talk about it, I could just hear the Missus' sour voice echoing around in my head, and I've fled from that purchase time and again. Some day, perhaps, but my den is at maximum AS capacity anyhow ;)

Excellent shave James! I believe you added too much water to the soap! Getting the right soap/water ratio can get tricky. Bowl lathering is easier to see if you got the ratio right because you will get that glistening whipped cream (yogurty) texture. I am primarily a facelatherer so the initial application is pasty and then I add small increments of water after each swirl or painting of my face to get the lather to my satisfaction. If I add too much waterx then I go back to the puck for more soap to fix a super sloshy lather. Like anything else, you have to find what works for you, your soap, etc. I just state what works for me.

Thanks, Jeff! I know what you mean--the shave that brings you the most joy is the best shave ;)

Super straight shave Evan! I have enough soap to last me for years, but I will eventually get to Tabac, Arko and maybe Palmolive.

Awesome shave, Blair--really dig that custom Kami! :D

Fougere is another one of those mystery words that I hear a lot, but have NO idea what it is (kind of like 'vetiver' used to be for me before I actually got something with vetiver in it). Looks like I'm going to have to do some research.

I read everything word for word. Now, all#s right with the world! Once again, congrats on the halfway mark Tim! Did you notice that you were able to use a more difficult shavette because your muscle memory kicked in and you were able to adjust to the different geometry of that shavette. Without the foundation you have gained, you would have had more difficulty and more than likely cuts galore.

I'm doing well thanks. Just trying to live along with this virus thingy happening. Winding down with my cold weather shaves, as spring is on its way. what would you get laughed at behind your back at work?

Beautiful photo, Gary, and fantastic report! Your handle decision makes total sense to me. If you were keeping them in a display case or something, I'd feel otherwise, but if you're using them regularly... use the handles that shave best for you (besides, I'd never know the difference anyhow) :D

Excellent shave and post Blair! I have looked at J3 Customs website and he has some kams that are reasonable. He also has some cool straights. Is your kam a western or traditional grind?

I know I said I'd be shaving through my regular rotation, but tomorrow everything get’s bumped. It will be a Broman shave.

Thanks Joe! I can tell you are happy with your shaves. I was surprised by Tabac and will use it more than I thought I would. I primarily use Arko because it's April and it gets a response from Jason @jtspartan. Yes the 12-year-old in me still lives and hopes Jason's inner adult keeps playing along. Anyway, Arko sticks are convenient, inexpensive, and lather well, but the scent is nothing special...

Thanks, Jim! As you probably know I bombed on the OneBlade. I’m hoping this shaves better for me! I’m not used to pivoting razors. We’ll see.
