    Beautifully arranged photo, Gary! :D

I'd not heard of the Sheraton up until now--it's a beautiful razor. It looks wonderful surrounded by all the warm wood tones. That brush handle, btw, is awesome! :D

    Razor: RR Hawk V3 OC

    Brush: PAA Peregrino

    Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Still some extra warmth from the alum along my jawline.

The jury is still out on the Hawk V3 OC. Excellent results but it just doesn't feel good to use. I haven't found the angle where it feels like it's gliding. With both the Feather Professional and Supers the razor feels like it's struggling to cut through my whiskers. I'm torn. I should continue on with it with a nice new fresh blade and figure it out but I have a few other shiny toys calling out to me. First world problems.

    Have a great day!

In the shaving world there is really only one goal: remove facial hair.

As the saying goes, there are many paths to the top of the mountain.
Today's path was with the Barbasol Floating Head razor.
As gorgeous as this razor is, part of me wishes it wasn't a re-plated item.
    Granted, the re-plating is exemplary.
I love the blade expose on this razor. You can feel the blade moving smoothly across your skin and
    slicing the stubble.
    Magnificent.
Lather o' the day was the grandaddy of shaving soaps: Williams.
No, it's not Sebum Gold, but it's just as good.
    Observe:
The brush today is Simpson's version of the beehive.
This one is fitted with a Manchurian Badger knot.
Significantly more backbone than yesterday's Best Badger, making the lathering process easier.

The Personna 74 blade is still very usable. No dragging...yet.
Dragging is my signal to abandon the blade.
Three passes for an excellent shave.
Finished with two healthy splashes of Small Batch Shave Tonic and,
not pictured, a couple of spritzes of Burt's Bees Bay Rum.
Two yummy juices, that pair nicely.

ATTENTION BALD GUYS, HATERS OF HEAD HAIR & THOSE THAT HAVE LOST THEIR SENSE OF HUMOR (GOES WITH THE HAIR): you may skip this post. :happy102:

Kathy had Cocker Spaniels. Great family friends. I'll have to dig up some photos. We had a black Cocker in the family when I met Kathy. I'm generally not a dog lover, but this guy stole my heart. His name was Prince of Shadows. I thought she named him after the singer, Prince, but he actually descended from parents who had "Prince" and "Shadows" in their names. He was definitely treated like a Prince.

Since we like to enable each other...here goes for hair clippers...

I shopped around, read reviews, and came up with this one. You have to purchase the guards separately. They come in a set of 1-4, and another set of 5-8. You can get either magnetic or clip on guards. The magnetic guards are easier to swap and seem to be constructed better. This model has a cord. Clippers, both sets of attachments, and shipping came in <$150 and should last a lifetime.

Great price and service from these good folks: https://www.beautydrama.com/andis-master-ajustable-blade-clipper-01557/ They are out of stock now, but they'll get more. This model is shiny. You'll like it. :)

If you're going for rechargeable, the Wahl Magic Clip #8148 is highly recommended. Attachments are included. This one will be a little less expensive overall than the Andis. I like the convenience, but I didn't want to deal with eventually replacing the batteries.

If you watch any barbering vids, you'll see these two models used all the time.

Awhile back, I picked up some inexpensive barber shears and a comb on Amazon.

I have an inexpensive facial hair trimmer that I will use to line up my edges. I'll eventually want to cut lighting bolts on the sides, and then I'll need a T-Outliner.

The burdens we guys with hair have to carry.

The gal that cuts my hair always tells me, "I'm a stylist, not a miracle worker." :happy102:

There's a lot of trash talk (me and her) taking place when she cuts my hair. Oh yeah, there's the gun magazines and free coffee too. If this lock down continues much longer, I'll need to update my magazine subscriptions. :D

That's some useful information, Charlie. I'm hoping things will return to near normal before I'm due for another haircut. The gentleman that cuts my hair doesn't seem to think he'll be back to work until May 9th at the earliest. I'll be able to hold out until then.
