You may be right, Jason! I was interested in the design. Oh well! :D

Ok, How about making a pińata with my image and spanking it or burning me in effigy? Will that suffice to ward off the bad vibes towards me. Lol!

Well, you already were a great success at juggling ice-cream scoops. Please pardon the "double negatory" , but I'm not sure that wasn't you on the internet doing that. Your Brut rhyme doesn't work for me, as I don't use Brut, but you have a good thing going. I'll let Old Man Joe Namath teach the Brut course. I look forward to receiving my portion of your proceeds. :))

I'm glad you said that Charlie, because the Broman looks easy enough to operate. (Operate=flip the blades in with ease).

    Thank you, Joe.
I find Satsuma sweeter than Pharaohs Dreamsicle. Satsuma's scent reminds me of Sweetarts.
That's great how well you're doing maintaining your weight! I've been slipping up here and there but sticking with the low carb lifestyle for the most part.

The storage tanks for gas are full but still selling plenty of diesel and asphalt. We're doing our best to keep the refinery running and understand what we're doing is essential. The weather has been nicer so when I get home from work the neighborhood looks like a block party every day. I keep my distance as I come in contact with several people throughout my workday but the neighbors look like they're making the best of the situation.

Oh it was certainly not your fault. The plug on the Zenith was just very tall. Much taller than any other knot that I recall.

    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 29

This was my first shave with the Parker SRX since the 17th. I took a three-shave detour with my birth quarter Slim, and I'm back on track now.

Two days of growth turned into a comfortable near-BBS shave with two passes and a few touch-ups. I've fallen into the routine of shaving every two or three days. I originally moved to shaving every other day at the beginning of my shavette focus. I now plan to move back to daily shaves now that I've got a few recent shavette shaves in the books.

I have my Floid Vigoroso, Eufros soap, and even my alum block on the ropes. I love finishing things up and continually moving toward my "top 5" product den.

I hope you all are having a fantastic Sunday evening!

Joe, I just created two more bald spots-in areas where I didn't need any!! Sometimes I'll end up with clumps of hair sticking out of each side. I hate clumps. It's fine to cut them off(or cut MOST of the parts off), but in the process you get right down to the head.

Great shave report, Evan! I like Tabac, but can no longer use it! Enjoy!

  13. I bought a merkur 37 slant last month and the first shave I did with it was terrible. I thought I'd give it another bash today

Today I used my merkur 37 slant
    Personna platinum
    Proraso anti-irritation
    Trumper skin food

I'm a bit of a cap rider when I shave and realised this doesn't work with the slant as the head is off. Also the 37 Slant doesn't seat the blade properly and it can quite easily be off by quite a margin. I had to loosen the plate and adjust the blade.

I then rode the bar instead of the cap. 3 passes and a near bbs shave. There was feedback from the Alum but nothing excruciating. No cuts or weepers. I think I'm still applying pressure and so will focus on no pressure next time.

Really happy with the shave and glad the slant produced a nice close shave. You really have to persist with these razors especially if you've had a bad shave with them. Still lots of work to do, but enjoyed the challenge of quite a different razor from my normal drivers.

    The Shave...
Opted for a quick 2 pass shave with no touch ups yesterday--WTG and ATG. Overall it was between DFS and CCS, but closer to the CCS side of things. Not awful considering how little effort I put into it, and a 2 pass, no touch up shavette shave that gets higher than CCS is always a win in my book!

    51 down, 49 to go!

    Lather
I get good lather from a bowl. I get good lather right off the face. But I get fantastic lather off the palm. Yes, it’s messy. Yes, there is an extra step involved in rinsing off my hand before the shave. But I get consistently perfect lather. Super hydrated, slick, and yogurty, but just to the point where peaks want to topple. It coats my face like mime paint, doesn’t dissipate, and doesn’t dry out on my face. I like my Sundays to be special shaves, so palm lathering is my go to Sunday method.

    The Shave...
Three-pass shave today--WTG, XTG, ATG. Yes, the Slim is adjustable, but today I felt like taking her to warp factor 9 and keeping her there. The WTG and XTG passes were light and easy, as was most of the ATG pass. The touching up started to get heavy-handed, but I realized what I was doing and backed off. Caught it before irritation set in, which is awesome because I am BBS. Like… glassy BBS. Like... freshly Zamboni-ed ice BBS. I’m considering welding the setting to ‘9’ now.

Hope everybody has a wonderful Sunday, and that you all enjoy it the best way you know how--stay safe; stay strong; stay happy! :D

Great shaves, Tim! I tried palm lathering, but it was just too messy. I was a committed face and dome latherer, but for the last month or so I’m getting great bowl lathers! Enjoy your shaves and stay safe!

    Thank you, Jason.
I've been using some extremely smooth razors recently so I am currently somewhat jaded in my expectations.
The OC Hawk is the only one I picked up.
The nylon washers are keeping the handles from scratching the baseplates on my razors. I know, it's overkill.
    Thank you, Clint!
